All... Am considering a bit of an upgrade on my stock 430 Scud. Only mod I currently have is a remote by-pass valve and while it's open the noise is glorious from the get go. Added benefit is that the quiet zone when closed is very useful (also known as wife mode). My plan is to leave the quiet zone as is with the stock muffler and swap out the stock cats to 200CEL units (yet to be sourced). Does anyone have experience of this (I know Richard has) specifically are there any dash lights thrown up and if so how are they managed? What does it do to the loud channel, is the noise ruined in anyway (too loud) or is it just (as I hope) more of the Scud magic Thanks in advance...
Yes I have 200CEL cats as part of my Capristo - throws a CEL every 4th or 5th drive. I have an Armytrix OBD2 dongle which I use to check and delete the CEL as and when it occurs -also monitors all sorts of other trick stuff.
Note that if you are in CA this could be a major headache. If it throws CEL that often it may, or may not, ever set all emissions monitors, which would prevent you from passing smog in CA. Just a heads up to OP - doesn't have location filled out.
I am running 100 Cell HJS Klines, with otherwise stock exhaust now, go on be brave, 200 Cells dont make much diff
Is there any way of permanently stopping the dash lights? Remap maybe or does still not completely fix it?
