I have already performed a search to try to find this out but only come up with the usual, "yeah, change the horn for one from a 355".

We all know the stock 360 horn is a bit of a wimp-out and I wish to replace mine with the 355 air-horn. Do I need to remove the front bumper to do this, or is there another way to get to it? Is the 355 air-horn a direct replacement, or do I need to buy any bracketry? Any part numbers for hardware required also appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

ok , had the same problem as you do , no info on it!!

    -take off front bumper
    -take out old horns
-replace in a variety of different positions, you can put in the front/ in the intake/ . i choose the front, as you can put both horns and the compressor there.
-re-wire the wiring from the old horns to the new one, you will need extra wire then.
-make sure they work before putting on bumper back on
    - ( a good thing putting the compressor up front is you can drill holes to the trunk and put the nuts on from the trunk. I thought there would be no room to get your hands in if you were putting that stuff in the intake hole... make sure and pull up the carpeting in the trunk, check that your drilling into the metal in the right spots and drill away)

no need for any brackets or anything, the kit comes with all you need. take off the nuts and screw from the old horn I think and I think that's it.

( threw out my old pics of the horn replacement as I thought no one would need)

Thanks Toshiba (and GCarlo for your PM). I thought you were going to say to remove the bumper :(. I'm going to take my car in for a bumper respray (stone chips) at the end of the year, I'll get the parts and have it done at the same time. Thanks for your replies.

Had dealer put air horn on delivery of previous 360 and present 430. Bumper needs to be removed. Cost approx. $400.
When I greet other F owners on the rode with horn, they're reluctant to answer with their Chevrolet or Ford horns.
I don't know why 360 and 430 owners don't do this automatically. Maybe they don't know it's easy, possible and not very costly, especially on delivery. Change the horn, you'll love it.

Ricambi America has the part kit for the air horn system. It is a genuine Ferrari part. Let me know how it goes, I am interested also.

What do the air horns sound like? I'd love to replace the BS stock horns on my 360, but I also don't want it to sound like the Titanic setting off on its last voyage.
Where are the cool and classic (and classy) "euro horns" from times past? Can't tell you what car I'm talking about, but I'll know it when I hear it.... and the 360's horns AREN'T it. :(

The 355 horns are the ticket.

Agreed. My 355 horn sounded nice and purposeful, but not "silly" loud. The stockers on the 360 are more akin to a Prius! :)

I did the horn coversion on my 360.

    1. Remove front bumper, yea you gotta do it.
    2. Remove left and right factory horns.
    3. Seal/insulate right side horn wire.
    4. Go to Pep boys and buy the $29 two horn kit. Yep 29 bucks and sounds EXACTLY like the TR horns. I have a TR as well.
    5. Paint the red air horns flat black.
    6. Using the horn bracket off the left side horn mount the air horns to the old bracket.
    7. Drill a hole in the duct way back on the top side. A little ytough but it can be done.
    8. Mount the air comp above the duct at the back. It too is easy.
    9. Drill a hole for the air hose.
10 Connect the wire to the air comp.

    11. Test.

Wish I had taken some pictures when I did it. The horns are mounted high and in the back of the grill opening. Cant see em unless you are at eye level. The comp is hidden ABOVE the duct.

Total time with bumper on and off was about 3 hours.

    Sound, incredible
