Guys, don't flame me for this. But I just don't like the small 360 key. Plus, mine is very weathered.

So I was looking for other keys online and came across this:

    http://www.jimmy540i.com/enzokey.html

I am sure that this is something that some or many of you are already aware of. I would love to get one.

What do you know about the seller? Is he trustworthy? Would this key make me a poser?

    Genuine advice is much appreciated!

I dont want to disparage anyone, but do a search for information on that seller. You will probably decide to buy elsewhere.

Thanks for the tips guys. Pap, is that the Enzo key there on Ebay? Would you vouch for that key as a good deal??

Also, that key has had the blade replaced. Not the same thing as the one Jimmy sells.

Are you handy with a dremel or similar tool?

You can make a great Enzo key for the $200 cost of the souvenir key from Ferrari Wynn Las Vegas and the $2.50 the key blank costs.

You'll have a structurally more solid key then the one suggested for a king's ransome, and you will have done it yourself.

Let's just say there is a peppered past here and the comments were delicately stated.

I made a valid suggestion for a reason.

I have bought a few from Wynn Las Vegas myself.

I can guide you to doing the change over.

I bought two from Jimmy and they are confirmed the real Enzo Uncut key. You could opt for Ebay or modification method but if you want the real thing, you'll have to shell out $600 ponies. Make sure you take it to a good key cutter.

That key is not a real Enzo key. But its half the price of the real Enzo key and you dont have to deal with Jimmy540! :p:p

I have a Wynn key that GCalo is talking about and I also have one off this seller. They are both just as good as each other. :):)

I wouldnt pay $600 for the same crap. REAL Enzo key or not. My friends cannot tell the difference and I wouldnt care to bullsh*t them anyways. Its only a key FFS! :):)

    I NEVER said it was........my friend. ;);)

PAP is dead on and if you purchase it from Wynn you'll have the exact same key that's being sold for $600.00!!!

This Wynn key was a gift to me from a wonderful friend of ours. ;);)

Pappy modded it to suit the 348 and if you ask me, it looks like the real thing! :D:D

    Looks great Pap!

It seems as if some further investigation is in order. Thanks for all of the suggestions, help and PMs!

    You guys are the best.

I will keep you posted on what I decide.

Thanks D! It really is an awesome key. If you do go with the Wynn key, let us know as there are a few of us that have 'modified' them to suit our cars. We will be able to post pics and a step by step guide on how to do it yourself. ;);)

Take the $400 you will save and take your wife out for a romantic candle-lit dinner. You both win then! You get the Enzo key and she gets a romantic dinner with the love of her life.:eek:

That.............or take the $400 saved and blow it on some meth and hookers!:eek:

Good luck with it and have fun mate. :):)

Here is a pic of my Wynn key with an un-cut genuine Enzo key. :):)

You can only spot the differences when the keys are side by side. :D:D

I forgot that I had a real Enzo key in my possession last year. I was looking after it for a friend, who has since got it cut to suit his 355. ;);)

Have you thought about the Carbon Fiber Key from Ferrari Carbon (sponsor here), they are really nice and there is a thread here on them. Search "carbon fiber key".

IMO, I would not bother spending the money for a "key". Take your "weathered" key and send it to Cavallino Models and they will repaint it to color match your car or keep it the original silver.
I had mine done a few years ago and it came out great. At the time, it cost me $25.

I agree - I was in the exact same boat and almost pulled the trigger - sleep on it a bit and (I think) you'll realize it's only a key.

It's now $40.00 if they paint it.

They do a great job but if you drop the key (yes it can happen DAH) the paint chips and cracks.

With the modified Enzo key that does not happen and when it is done right the modified Enzo key will have the same mass as the OEM metal keys.

I have done a few for members and they love them.

I am doing a second one for myself this W/E.

Get the carbon fiber key. Much more substantial key than the Enzo. Otherwise, get the knock off Enzo key. I purchased an Enzo key from Jimmy540. Nothing negative to say but the Enzo key is not impressive. It comes with a box and sterling silver tag. If you can get a knock off key for a third of the cost you'll be happier.

    For the record,

I could not get Wynn to return my phone calls or emails when I was interested in getting one of their keys. Couldn't ever get anyone to answer the phone in the parts department either. That was frustrating enough to make me disinterested in the whole idea of another key.

+1, I love the Carbon Fiber Key, the look and feel are great. So much better than the stock key.
