Has anyone on this forum put any wheel spacers on their scuderia? What brand and size did you use? any problem with the spacers (shimmy)? any input will be appreciated. Thanks

I will Also like to get some 5mm spacers and still use OEM Ti bolts.

    H&R has them.

I use a hubcentric H&R 5mm spacer with the stock lug bolts for the HRE Competition wheels. They are needed to clear the Scuderia front calipers with the 3-piece Racing wheels from HRE. The tolerance is so tight, that just the balance weights in the Scuderia front wheels can scratch the calipers.

BBS doesn't have a center on the 3-piece racing series that can clear the Scuderia front calipers, unless you build a very aggressive offset, and that's bad for the wheel carriers and bearings.

The 19" Challenge style wheels don't fit the Scuderia, I tested them and they rub the caliper, they need a 10mm spacer and new lug bolts.

H&R sells a variety of spacers and lug bolts for the F430 and 360.

do you know anybody scuderia factory OEM wheels with H&R spacers? what thickness of the spacers do they use for aggressive fitment. Thanks

I use the 5mm H&R spacer with the HRE wheels and the stock wheels as well. But it is not an aggressive fitment at all, not noticeable indeed.

Aggressive fitment is my 295/345 tires in wider wheels, but it is too aggressive for street use.

For a more aggressive and street friendly look with stock wheels and tires, I would do 15mm H&R hubcentric spacers front and rear and 15mm longer lug bolts. The bolts are not available in titanium from H&R.

However, Novitec sells both the spacers and the Titanium longer lug bolts. Novitec has 10mm, 15mm and 20mm spacers for the Scuderia. I would not go beyond 15mm, unless I were running a stiffer suspension.

hi george, thanks for the reply. I have a question, do you feel any vibration on your steering wheel at around 60-90mph with Novitec spacers? any input will be appreciated. thanks

I have 15mm H&Rs spacers with longer bolts all around my 430 on stock wheels and tires and no vibration up to 170. Front is perfect and rear could use even more, not sure about scuderia wheel offsets compared to 430 though.

ok then, my impression / feedback of the Novitec Spacers:

1- No vibration whatsoever at any speed given (even up to 300km/h)
2- The car is now even harder to slide; noticeable handling improvement, you'll feel even more in secure while cornering.
3- No difference in ride stiffness (didn't notice any different in that...)
4- Improved drastically the looks of the Scud!
5- Should have been that way from Stock-Factory.

I would definitely recommend the Novitec Spacers. H&R are not bad either, I have them mounted on my 997 (5mm all around) and fully satisfied.

    Best of Luck ;)

Ferrari focuses a lot on aerodynamics. The wheels/tires need to be fully covered so the air flow around the car works properly.

You won't experience the handicap of running aggressive offsets on the streets, only at high speed on a racetrack.

As the wheels/tires move aggressively out, there is more lift at speed, and more drag without adding but reducing downforce. So, aggressive offset means: lower top speed, increased drag, decreased downforce.

The front wheels (the most important) need to stay close to stock offsets. As they move out with aggressive offsets (15mm or more), the airflow to the lower rear intakes is reduced. These intakes are a critical part in the Scuderia, the air flows cooling down the engine/transmission, and the internal section of the diffuser works as a huge wing (just installed underneath), with airflow exiting the multiple rear grills. The lower section of the front tires get exposed in the frontal area much more, as the front bumper cannot cover them entirely looking from the front, so that creates a bigger frontal area (more drag), but the shape of the lower part of the tire promotes lift (boat effect).

This is where Ferrari with their F1 technology and knowledge exceeds every other production car make. Consider that a 2010 GT3 RS with its huge wing has just half the downforce of the 430 Scuderia (no wing).

Hi F430GT, if I'm using 305/30/19 and 245/35/19 on stock wheels... how many mm spacers should I get then? 5 or 10mm since I have wider tires... thanks!

I got the set from a 16m driver and he had 2 sets.

He told me, he hasn´t any problems.

His car was bone stock EU height.

For me it was a little bit too much.

Wheels stand out near the same like the BBS F1.

For those who want that look 20mm is perfect.
