Another dream come true for me..... 1st allow me to introduce myself please. I'm Dan Loyola. I'm 54 years old, an electrical engineer for Boeing. I'm a big BMW fan. I've owned a 2001 M5, a 2006 M6 Coupe and a 2009 M6 Convertible. I recently sold 2009 my M6 Convertible so the search is on for my next dream car. I have always admired Ferarris, and told myself I will own one one day. That day came true for me two days ago, Tuesday, Feb 24, 2014 I flew to California to check out a red 2003 F360 Spider for sale with only 10,000 miles, pristine condition and it already has all the upgrades I plan on doing / adding if I end up buying an all stock car. The car was exactly as the seller described so I bought it from him and drove it home here to Seattle. I just got home. So here she is, my 1st ever Ferrari, a red 360 Spider. I call her Betsy V. She has Tubi exhaust, Upgraded Stereo System, Clear bra installed, Challenge grille, engine software, carbon fiber cup holder, titanium lug bolts, upgraded rims, new tires, etc. The 800 mile drive from California to Seattle was amazing. I was all smiles. What an amazing engineering. Everytime I fill up gas, everyone at the gas station came out to check out my car. People taking photos and videos of my car when I return from lunch. Driving through San Franciso, Oregon, Seattle, drivers would pull alongside and said "I love your car!". I feel very blessed for owning one. I like to modify and personalise my car. For modifications, on my list are: - Valentine 1 hard wire. - I will be upgrading all / most of the interior and exterior lights to LED's as I love LED's and will also add LED footwell / underdash lights. Somehow this is missing from original design.... - I also plan on adding Laser Interceptor laser jammers as I hate getting tickets. I had laser interceptor on my M6, I was tagged by laser 17 times = zero tickets. - I may add front view and rear view cameras too for ease of parking as I hate scraping my bumpers from those parking turtles or parking too close or too far from the wall when I back up. I will be creating DIY write ups for all the above in case someone here is interested in doing it then hopefully it will make things easier for some of you. I want to thank everyone here for all the inputs and information they have shared and continue to share. Dan, congratulations on a sweet ride. Judging by the condition of the Daytona seats the car hasn't been very well maintained. I keep telling people there is nothing like driving a Ferrari as it gives back so much, the noise, smell, aesthetics and its handling characteristics. Enjoy many miles with Betsy
Congrats Dan. Jacinto must have mean "has been very well maintained"...seats look nearly new to my eyes! Looks like a nice stereo install and rims looks great too!
Beautiful car Dan! I love everything about it, all the specs & options. Drive her as much as you can & enjoy it and all the attention that comes with it.
Congrats, It only gets better with every turn of the ignition. I just bought my 8th F car after a very long absence and it has been just as much of a blast as it was in the 80's for me.
Thank you everyone! Yes, the seats are in excellent condition and so everything around the car. Everything still looks brand new. Dan
Apart from the fact it's an F1 not a stick that's not far off my ideal spec 360 there... congratulations, I shall have to start modifying mine now!
Very nice Dan, congrats! Your M6 was sweet, but I don't think you'll miss it! Looking forward to seeing it @ RTC
Nice car, inside and out. And from the little bit of background shown in the picture, looks like you live in God's Country! Seattle is a great place to have a Ferrari (I used to live in Anacortes).
Congrats Dan! You put 800 miles in a couple of days when the previous owner(s) put 10,000 miles in eleven years. Don't let Betsy V be a garage queen. She's a beauty!!
sweet! congrats! ps i am secretly itching for a challenge stradale, but i have no more space in my garage
Thanks for the correction , way too many typos these days Yes the 360 is pristine, difficult to find examples this good. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
Congrats and welcome to the club. I too love bimmers (and rovers and Porsches) but your ferrari will always have that something special that the others just can't replicate. Enjoy the ride!
Nice car Dan! FYI the wiring diagrams just in case you're not aware can be downloaded here: http://ferraridatabase.com/The_Downloads/Manuals_Other.htm
Awesome, congrats! I'm also (obviously) a BIG fan of the BMW M cars. I have elected to keep my 2006 M5 and make it my daily driver. My 360 Spider (Rosso/Tan) is my toy car, and it has a lot of tasteful upgrades as well! The point is, you're gonna love this car. Good luck, enjoy many miles in great health!!!
Nice car Just and FYI, may want to look into some other radar detectors besides the V1. V1 tech is getting older and they don't have a GPS feature or live feature. Don't get me wrong, I love the V1 but take away the arrows and it doesn't have any more value adds. I am looking into a Passport for the GPS and camera features.
