Just recently bought my first Ferrari.Fantastic car and no regrets in buying it. Took it out for the 1st time today for a long drive. When I went in to fill it up neither my wife or I could open the gas cover from the inside pull/push switch located on the counsel. The front and rear hood opened fine. We were finally able to open it by the pull cable in the motor compartment. Any ideas what we were doing wrong?

You need to open it with the car running IIRC.

Ignition "on" is enough, no need to re-start if you have already shut down engine.

The car is presently at the car club where I keep it. Will try opening it tomorrow while the car is running. My wife who remembers better than I do said we did try it with the car running and it still would not open? Any ideas??

I believe there is a manual release on the left side of the engine panel in case you get stuck.
