Got these CF shields from Jim400i (thanks Jim). The quality is outstanding, as is the fit to the curvature of the fender. Jim provided the measurements for placement. Here is the process I used to place them. I hope this is helpful to someone.

(sorry sone of the pictures are sideways)

Started by drawing a line 3/8" from the top of a piece of mashing tape and placing the tape with the line on the fender crease.

I then held the shield to the edge of the tape and placed a second pied of tape at the top of the shield.

I then made a mark on the tape 4 and 3/4" from the edge of the fender.

I temporarily applied the shield with a looped piece of tape, removed the upper and lower tape and tweaked the position.

Once satisfied with the position, I placed tape to mark the outline and affixed the shield.

I then made a template on apiece of paper, noting the height from the side marker. I flipped the paper, placed it on the other side and temporarily placed the shield.

I removed, the paper, tweaked the position I placed mashing tape at the edges and affixed the second shield.

Oh man that looks good! I really like the way you made a template to match both sides too.

These look cool and are very high quality, however, it's a bit sac relig to me. The shield is a huge part of Ferraris history and not being the traditional yellow backround (Modena's home color) is a little like changing the colors of the American flag to me.

I don't mean to flame you, your car looks sweet and if your going to run shields I think this was a good choice for your setup, just not sure how I feel about modifying the shield from its original orientation.

They do look cool but I know what you are saying. I have a Nero Modena and have been considering these shields. Another chunk of yellow on a black car....not so sure. Black with no shields is cool too.

Wish I would've seen this before I did mine :(
But I'm more than satisfied with mine! This is a Great Technique!
BTW a Ferrari shop at first glance believed they were original.
