    I recall reading online that someone thought there has been an update for the ECU on the earlier F430's.. stating the update helped the car shift smoother and quicker... does anyone here know there was a factory update? I think I remember someone saying it came out in 2007 or 2008 when the factory F1's were known to be shifting better and quicker..

    I just bought a 2005 F1, and Im wondering what was done etc... can a dealership run the VIN # and see if any recalls or updates were performed?

    If your car has been serviced in Ferrari dealership all updates are done with services.

    There were updates on ECUs for just about every model year of the F430. Look at Ricambi's parts catalogs for more info. I posted it here once, but do not remember where. Oh yeah:
