    Whats your choice and future valuable ones to be considered ? Were there any 360CS's with gated shifters or they were all F1's ?

    I have a manual 355 and a 360 F1. Love the 360 - hate the F1. If a manual 360 comes around that is in the same or better condition and right color combo I will trade. If manual 430 comes around I would consider if price gap not unreasonable.

    Later F1s were smoother and faster - earlier ones suck around town and in low-speed situations.

    Just my personal .02 - Cheers

    360 before 02-manual, or 02 and earlier with later TCU, 430 F1 all the way.

    Now that being said, I personally would prefer manual in both, it's the only way I have owned all of my previous Ferrari's and my current car has a third pedal. It's not faster, not even close, but I don't care. If I wanted a sub six figure car that was the fastest I would own a GTR. I don't own a 360 because its the fastest, I own it for the driver involvement, the sound, the experience , the passion, the looks, the smell, the lineage, and finally, the clink of the gate between each glorious up or downshift, there is no other car like it for the money.

    360 = manual
    430 = F1

    Had a 360 spider manual and loved it. Moved up to 430 spider F1, thinking I would make due till I found the right manual 430 spider.......never looked back. The F1, at least on the 430, ROCKS!!

    I have a 430 6MT Spider and it is the most fun car I have owned to date. IMHO, there is nothing like a gated gear box...NOTHING!!! I wish I had gotten into the Ferrari 6MT cars a long time ago. As much as I know that paddle shifting cars shift faster and are here to stay, I will always enjoy driving a 6MT more. However, I am afraid that there is no turning back the technological advancements that have made these cars faster and faster. Manual trannies are quickly becoming a thing of the past...sadly. As much as I love my 458 Italia, I drive my 430 6MT much more often.

    I just went through this dilemma. I drove a 360 f1 and was not impressed although it was an early model. I've had my 2001 360 spider manual for 6 hours so far and love it! 430 spider manuals ran 50k+ more than the clean 360 manuals FYI.

    I think that the 360s are some of the best value cars out there. I with that I had come up from the 355-to-360-to 430-to-458. I took that opposite road and went through lots of cars that didn't stay in my garage for very long. I would have been much happier having just started with a Ferrari!:)

    Did you guys know that the last gated shifter manual in production is an Audi? The R8. It to is going to an only DSG box next year.

    I find this very disappointing, like my earlier post, I understand the dual clutch and F1 stuff is faster, but so what? How much faster do we need to go, on the street anyway. If your competitively racing I get it, you would be at significant disadvantage if you were in a field of automated shifters and you had a manual, but on the street why does it matter?
