    Hi
I am still looking for a wheel setup that would give me the option of putting 255/30-19 or even 265/30-19 in front on my 430 Scuderia. I know that BBS has the FI in 8.75" ET 18 and the RI-D in 9" with ET 28.

After reading about different rims there seems to be reports of BBS FI rubbing and I would guess that the RI-D could do the same. Anyone with first hand experience of these rims?

What I would like to know is if it is possible to install a 9" wheel in front without rubbing and what ET would be optimal in avoiding that. Is the RI-D with ET28 the optimum 9" wheel for the 430? My goal is to get better track performance, so it has too work on track, I am not in this for the looks...

AT ET28 and non-lowered ride height the Fi should be ok. If you lower it, I guarantee rubbing. Even at non-lowered ride height under full compression and moderate-full turning, it will rub, I guarantee it, not badly but it will rub enough.

I had MPSS tires, 325rear 245front. The sidewall on the MPSS' are much less curved than Pirellis so that may be a factor to consider.

Lowered or not lowered shouldn't matter I guess. On track I will always hit the bump stop at some point. Still not sure what to do... Today I am running 245/35-19 on original 8" rims, never had any rubbing. Sounds like it will rub the tires if I go any wider...

Has anyone actually driven their 430 with 9" ET 28 on track and gotten away with it? ;-)

Johan- Novitec NF2 and NF3 wheels for the front of 360s and F430s (and Maranellos, just coincidentally) are 9" wide with the ET of 28 mm quoted above (rears on the F430 are 20"x12). Dozens of drivers have tracked their F430s and 360s with that set-up with no problems. The Novitecs were designed specifically for the 360 and F430.

They also come with TUV approval :) in that size from Novitec. Been running this set-up for years.

I've heard the BBS will rub in the rear, not the front

I guess rubbing would appear sooner or later ;-) Do you know what front tires that would work with Novitec NF2 and NF3 wheels?
    235/35-19
    245/35-19
    255/35-19
    265/30-19

Do you think rubbing would first appear because of height or of width?

265/30-19 is roughly the same diameter as 235/35-19, and lower than the 245/35-19 I am running today with no problem.
The width is of course larger, but only by about 18mm.

    Trofeo R 245 has a total width of 257mm
    Trofeo R 265 has a total width of 275mm, 18 mm more...

I only know the 255/30-19 (slightly smaller diameter) works fine at the front. No rubbing.
