want to either paint the factory wheels or buy aftermarket wheels.. but unsure on the color/finish I do like the novitec nf3 wheels that have a black center, polished lip, but I am feeling the polished 3pc wheels are the past... but with a 1pc wheel the problem is its all the same color/finish.. black car with black wheels.. have no contrast... thinking like a gun metal wheel might look good.... anyone out there have any photos of such?

I like the NF3s as well. There is a pic on their site of a black 430 spider with brushed centers. I really like it. I cannot justify 13K+ on wheels and tires however.

Black car with all black wheels is a bit much for me.

I agree with blackbolt, no black wheels on black cars, at least Ferraris. They are too good looking for the murdered out look. My novitecs came to me used and powder coated black, I had them powder coated back to silver with no regrets.

NF3s are nice looking but twice the weight of the stock rims...

    All show and no go...

My understanding is 38 lbs for fronts, 48 lbs for rears vs the 20-something weight for the stock.

Please do not post nonsense. NF3s are heavier than stock but do not weigh that much.

This was the e-mail from the vendor, unless they mis-quoted or wanted to push the much lighter and more expensive NF4 single piece design. What say your 'sources'?

Yes they are heavier, but they are also much wider. If were talking race car then the NF2's or NF3's would be a bad idea, weight savings on the corners is paramount in road racing and the lack of width can be made up with different compounds in race slicks.

Street cars are different. You can only get so much stick out of a DOT tire, so more width adds the grip you don't see with the stock very narrow wheel tire combo. I'm not saying the weight doesn't hinder the performance in rotating mass and suspension rebound, but the extra grip offsets it IMO. After all these are street cars, how hard are you going to push it?

So your "all show and no go" comment isn't exactly accurate.

Agree - I have the same on my 08 black on black Berlinetta with yellow calipers and CCB. In my opinion after market wheels just cheapen the look!
