Sold my 308 couple of months back and along came a 3 pedal 360 perfect I said, so I pulled the trigger I have only driven her a couple of times but WOW! what a machine absolutely love it. She needs a wee bit of TLC, first on the list was remove the Larini exhaust, then engine side panels they were chalky white so time to paint them, all the Arms and shocks were covered with yrs of thick black brembo brake dust (I so hate them brembo pads) so im gonna give them a good scrubbing and piss them pads off will go for Hawk low dust pads. Here's a picture of the new girl and suspension before i tackle the big clean Some of items on list of jobs to do. Will keep you all posted on my progress.

    Detail engine/eng bay
    Repaint callipers
    Clean suspension
    Repaint sticky switches
    New milli miglia exhaust
    Remove dash for re-glue

Not keen on the wheels. Was always gonna be black 19 CS wheels and a full CS body kit for me.

    Cheers

It,s UK import landed here about 3yrs ago by fabcar and was purchased by a friend and then he sold it one of his friends who traded it in on a Bentley at fabcar that's where I got grubby little hands on it and got it for great price.

Your suspension / hubs make mine look clean. I'll be interested to follow and see how you manage with them and what technique works to bring them back.

My engine side panels could use a freshen up too. Matt / Gloss / Satin - Have you decided yet?

I notice (I think) you have already removed the panel that goes over the fuel transfer pipes just under the window at the back of the engine bay. I took mine off a while ago and tried a little rattle can re-paint but the paint really didn't stick too well. Has anyone enjoyed success repainting that area and if so what treatment / paint did you use?

My Suspension came up a treat no sh$t u could not see the shok as it was covered in that much B dust. The side engine bay panels will need fair bit of preping but the front panel is not to bad will prep it with slight scuff with soft scotch pad if I rub down to bare Ali I'll flik some etch primer first then satin black it. Will post pics of clean suspension.

    Cheers

Great post! I am amazed to also hear of another 360/430 that was traded in on a Bentley! Mine was as well. I think that is 4 I have heard of this year. I wonder if I will catch the B bug when I am no longer able to contort and squat down into the 360! LOL

That looks like a great project, good luck!!! Remember to put the steering wheel back on the side where it belongs before you put the interior back together! :)

So here is before and after, shots there's 2 days work cleaning the suspension I used a alloy cleaner/acid diluted with water and on the heavy stained areas used it straight with a hard bristle brush and a wire brush in some places and a good pressure cleaner first to remove as much of the B dust as possible thinking bout fliking some matt silver over the A arms. Also i maybe missing some heat shield around the gearbox can anyone confirm.

    Cheers

Well done. That's an impressive bit of cleaning up. I think I know the kind of product you are talking about and will try it on mine.

Attached a photo from my car (2000 Modena manual) which might be of assistance. I don't think you're missing anything.

Yes -- the heat shields over the drive shafts are missing. The were a Ferrari campaign #84 -- seems as if yours were not done unless they were deemed to not be required in Europe. They are $246 each from Ricambi (#9). Someone correct me if I'm wrong but Ferrari campaigns are not time specific so you may be able to get them done at the dealer.
