So the stupid little horse on my key fell off. Don't know where on when. Just lost. Apparently wanted to gallop the fields where all lost socks roam. Looked everywhere for a replacement but they only want the whole key. Sooo... I went on ebay and bought a tie pin from Scaledetails: Ferrari Cavallino Sculpted Horse Pin Emblem 308 328 348 Mondial Testarossa 355 | eBay Basically you need to trim it a bit very carefully to fit and need to bend the feet and tail just a tad. Theres a pin post on the back that needs to be clipped then ground/sanded flat. Superglue onto the key and this is what results: (I thought I could drill into the key with a small bit and place the pin into the key and then glue. This doesn't work well. Grind it flat and glue it) Image Unavailable, Please Login
Curt That's good to know. I painted mine red six months ago and now it's all chipped. I'm thinking of having it powder coated to maybe get some of that Plastidip. Alan
Great info. Thanks for sharing Curt. I was going to paint mine red like Alan did but after reading posts here that it gets chipped I decided to just buy the replica enzo key from an eBay seller for $200.00. Mine looks great. Cost $5 to cut. Zero issues. I just checked, he just lowered his price to $160.00 with free shipping.
Sure thing, here you go: Ferrari Enzo Style Uncut Blank Key 512 348 355 360 Testarossa Domed Badge | eBay Note: DO NOT take your key to home depot or Lowes or Wallmart to get it replicated. It may only cost you $1.99 to get your key cut but those folks are not craftsman when it comes to cutting expensive keys. Take it to your local locksmith, let them know how much the key cost so they can even be extra careful and after everything was done I was only charged $5.00. I even let her sit on the driver seat of my car and let her start my car to test the key out. She was extremely grateful as she's never sat in a F car before. I offered her a ride but she said she had to get back to work and asked for a rain check. The smile on her face was priceless. Dan Image Unavailable, Please Login
No issues. No chips. Works perfect. It's made of hard plastic so it doesn't chip and can even be sanded down and polished again if it ever gets scratched. It's also made in Japan so quality is much better than Chinese made stuff. Note: I have no affiliation to the seller. Dan
You're welcome Curt, and my apologies for hijacking your thread. Just trying to share good info. Raining here in Seattle today so I'm working on my car. Cleaning my MAFs with MAF spray cleaner. And also installing LED footwell lights. Actually switching from white LEDs to Red LEDs. Much cooler effect. Dan
