Curious about the result... Anyone here raced their scud with a superleggera? Which one is faster?

Thanks guys! Hmm I think the scud has a better chance on top end... too bad they didn't make a RWD LP570, that would be fast! I was also thinking of getting an LP570-4, if I sell my 997 GT2... not sure if its the right decision though haha!

Looks like 2012 LP570 is now selling around the same price as 2008-09 Scud.

I have A 2008 Scud and a 2008 Superleggera I can attest that as far as acceleration goes they are almost dead even as I have done a side by side as well. On track the SUperleggera is just a bit slower. Top Gear did a track overlay between a Scud and Superleggera and they were dead even

I see... thanks for the very accurate review! Your comments on the SL at the track is similar to my friend's experience. He liked the scud better :)

that was not the LP-570 but the old Superleggera, with 520 BHP.

The 570 is faster than Scud around the Nurburgring (1" faster) but for exemple not on Top Gear test track.
The old Superleggera (the one shown in Top Gear episode against Scuderia) on Nurb is 8" slower....

To my personal experience LP 570 is faster on straight but Scud handles better in corners.

Does anyone know what the Scud should read on a Dyno? HP at the tires and top speed. When using an all wheel drive dyno are they supposed to turn the front drums off? I only put down 431 horse and hit 204 MPH.

If that's rwhp, and assuming 15% drivetrain loss, that puts you at 507 bhp. Sounds about right.

LP560 is a bit quicker from a roll so an LP570 would walk a scud (not that most scud owners would care).

You can easily remove the front differential and swap in axle stubs from the Balboni/550-2 models. Its been done quite a bit already.

So based on what I've read here, it's safe to assume they are both pretty f-ing fast? :)

I think 458 but the competition for 458 is Huracan.

I think thats about right... then if you put headers, 100cats, exhaust, intake and tune might go up to 480-500whp?

The 458 is right next to a Scud from a rolling start so how do you figure it the 570 would do better against a scud?
