Used 2007 Ferrari F430 for Sale in Teterboro NJ 07608 Accredited Motorcars, Inc came across this during the weekend, it is gorgeous in person! someone is going to get a beautiful car!
I could see myself spending the bucks to convert it to manual and then taking it to the grave...um the "of natural causes grave"! LOL Has anyone done a 430 yet? What are we talking 10K, heck even if 15 that's 114K for a real keeper!
Why would you convert it to 6spd, am I missing something? 430 F1 is much better that 360's from what I read, why not just run it?
Nice car on the surface....nice find. Key question is clutch wear, brakes, any other immediate needs, pitfalls. Good buy for someone if it checks out.
First thing I would do, if brakes needed attention, is put standard rotors and pads in and put the ceramic $$$ in boxes!
Mike - $5500 for shifter, console, linkage, clutch pedal and hydraulics, and changes to the transmission?? Maybe for the parts!
i think this car was a rental , due to the "higher" miles . it might have belonged to broadway super cars.. im looking into it.
I own Broadway SuperCars guys. This car is in fantastic shape! I kept it as perfect as possible the entire time. Clutch/tires/brakes/servicing/fluids are all basically NEW! Everything works and no lights on the dash. If anyone is interested, PM me and i give you the best price. Cool to see a thread about one of my cars here...
Did you " lock out" the race setting as many rental places do ? Nice car, great color. I would entertain this car if I was looking. great driver if no issues. GLWS.
Definitely no issues. We remove the manetino. It was mentally painful to actually remove it. But it's back on where it belongs.
Well I consider the gated manual 430 the last of breed, I consider white the easiest to own color and I like it and I like having a simpler machine that I could enjoy for many years to come. I actually didn't see the >40K miles on my first glance. I would have to REALLY get the thing checked out for bigger miles like that.
I'd say 70k with a comprehensive PPI. Paint work, CCBs, tires, headers, clutch wear and cats would all be of concern on this car. That stuff can add up very quickly. It also looks like the Manetino housing is cracked and that some of the switches are sticky.
Luke, I agree. You are wise and patient. The right car will turn up, at the right price. I too, would never buy a rental car.
Curious why CarFax shows the transmission was checked so frequently. is this normal w higher mileage vehicles?
Rental, especially in as little as 4 hour increments, can only mean this car had the snot beaten out of it by 100+ different people.. It is not a value at anywhere near $99K...
$70k is a bit low I think. You're already subtracting repair costs to the price that may not be needed... it all depends on the PPI.
When I do these exercises in my mind I like to place the value at what it would take to replace all the big stuff to make the car equal to the rest of the market. It is being priced at a discount. So if you add new or low miles used engine, clutch, and suspension bits the car would cost out to what? about 150K? How does that 150 number stack up to the market for this car as optioned? Now here is the fun part? What if not all of the bits are ready to go and you get to enjoy the car for a good long while. I think the mindset for this kind of car not that this is a 100K car. I think the correct mindset is that this is a 150K car that is selling at a discount. If you don't have the 150 to blow you better move along Mr. because you are at the wrong card table!
