Just spoke with a ferrari dealer about getting a new key and fob. They want 700 got the fob and 700 did the key. Then a few hundred to program it.

Any way around this? What if I just get a key is there a wAy not to need a fob?

Matthew- Jimmie is correct, buy a key blank from Ricambi or another source for a spare, and have Gobble clone a fob for you.

    Check out these guys, too.

Happened to me too. Got my new key from the Ferrari dealer. Cost around $1000 including programming.

Sounds like you have an F430 with a different alarm system and key/fob set-up.

Literally just been through this last month. A local guy (in NZ) called the key doctor and he went to the car and cut a blank (with logo), and cloned a new fob for me. $503.00NZ

No way was I paying the price Ferrari wanted!

If the dealer programmed the fob did he do so with the PIN code? If so where did he get it as I was going to pay $500 to get my code from Ferrari and was told they couldn't guarantee that it would be the correct one.

I have 3 fobs for sale if anyone wants them. I was going to clone, but I found some ecu's with a code and that solved all my problems.
    PM me if interested.

D- If yours is an Australian spec 360 (D in VIN), the fobs are the same as the US models and 315 MHz. If an import from the UK (B in VIN), the fobs are 433.9 MHz.

I just purchased the Ferrari Racing exhaust which came with two new ECU's. The new ECU's were programmed by Ferrari for my car, to do so would they need the PIN? If so, the dealer didn't offer the PIN code to me and wants to charge $500 for it as I need the remote kit programed.

    Thoughts?

No, they didnt need the pin to add the ECU, they will need the pin to program the remote kit.

    Subscribed!

The 360 car I am interested in has 2 grey keys and 2 black fobs. Do I need a 3 third set (red key and red fob)?

Ferrari seem no longer to be supplying the red fob as red (now black) so completism/perfectionism means you 'll need to source an old red if thats what you think you really need - or just live with 2 keys & 2 fobs....
