Since you have first hand knowledge of the very recent sale price of your car, maybe you should be telling us. Most threads regarding Scud/16M pricing say there hasn't been much fluctuation recently.

Scud09 will say - insert finger in corner of mouth and grin devilishly - "millions". channeling dr evil here :)

Before anyone could answer meaningfully, we need to know what you mean by "retail". Do you mean asking price from a Ferrari dealer, or transaction price for a end-user buyer?

Without quibbling over a few percentage points, such a car - assuming good condition, no trouble in the history - would transact to an end user for about $200k. Can and will vary by a few percentage points from that mark. Has been for about the past 3 years or so, with a few examples below and a few above. Fwiw, the so-called "scud pricing model" that has been widely used and "mostly" correct, would suggest a transaction price of $194k.

Tough call trading one for a Speciale. I'd have done it (assuming that was a required part of the deal) because getting a new Speciale is, well, special. You can always return to the scud market when you want.

Asking prices for Rosso 09s have been getting higher and higher as of late. Whether that is indicative of actual sale price, I cannot say.

However, I can say that a recent example in my neighborhood sold for 200 even w 8600 miles—No cavallino on headrests, no extinguisher and had standard black calipers.

You are likely right...the "low mile red" one's are drying up as they either get driven or perhaps a few are put into collections. There aren't really any on cars.com right now (the Miller special color one doesn't count in my mind - that color is in a league of its own and has been price wise whenever the rare one has appeared).

There are a few Red 08's out there in the $170s and $180s with 4-12k miles. So, "driver" scuds are still around and are perhaps a bit higher in asking prices right now compared with past 3 years. "Collector" sub 3k mile Red ones are seemingly becoming rare...so who knows what those will go for...

Great cars...will be interesting to see how this progresses in coming years.

I'd say about $190-200k for a low mileage 09 scud. I think asking prices are $200-220k now

Worth a watch. Few errors in the description and this car seems much quieter than I remember mine being with stock exhaust (now running full Capristo) but he does do a good job of highlighting many of the 16M upgrades.

Only super low miles 09 Scud are fetching $225K and up, regular miles are nowhere near:

You mean only low mile ROSSO examples are, widely considered as "less desirable" colored ones (such as the yellow and black in our screenshot) are nowhere near.

Even super low mile examples are not. I am looking at <2000 mile Corsa w stripe example for less than $210k.

Have been watching the market lately and have not seen one 16M out there. If so, they are going quick, so set your alerts and ready to fire off a deposit for PPI.

Dannyboy has been pumping Scuderias for years. He has also been trying to sell his just as long. Look up all his old posts.

I assume everyone gets the connection as to why he's been beating this drum for so long.

btw Dannyboy, if you want to sell your car, subscribe to Fchat and place an ad.
