Would like to change side mirrors on 360 for aftermarket Challenge type mirrors. Any suggestions on who has a good quality mirror very close to OEM? Has anyone tried to motorize the mirrors using internal parts from original mirrors?

The biggest difference is that the aftermarket ones do not fold like the real CS mirrors do. It has been mentioned on here that the 360GTC mirrors do not fold so I have been trying to talk myself into some of the non folding ones for a while too.

Anybody have a set to copy? Or a digitized scan so I can do a take-off? I have digitized 458 but not 360CS.

Yes, that would be welcome. There are some companies that make the 430 style but non that make the 360 version which should be simpler.

The ones on the black car do not look right. Not sure about the first pic either.

I have OEM 430 CF mirrors on my 360. I am very happy with the look and operation.

They look the same shape as a base model 360 but in carbon?

    I am not certain but...
I think both the stems and the main housing are a bit different than stock 360. The stem looks a bit more aerodynamic on the CS ones and I think they stick out a bit further too. The housings on the stock 360 have a more organic shape to my eye but maybe it's the weave playing tricks on me?

In my mind it makes sense to blend the two designs so that you have the stem configuration of the CS version and the housing shape of the standard 360, which is a much more sexy shape. The upside to this is that internal controls and temp sensors, etc could be more afford-ably sourced. But the downside is that the more you deviate from stock either way the less you can charge for them IMO.

I am a potential buyer if they look fabulous and I can save weight with all the functionality of a stock part. No fiberglass with a carbon wrap on it, we have R-Tuned for that non-sense already. Then there is of course the price. I guess that can wait for a further discussion but I do know where my own price pressures start to creep in.

A few options are available in build stage one is find a reasonably priced mirror to gut it to use the motor components to save the cost of using genuine Ferrari parts. Shape is easy enough to reproduce.
It would make good sense to use parts off the shelf and build a carbon body that looks the part.

I’ll make a plug over Christmas and see how it looks on the car.
