Steering column loose with free play, worn knuckle?

    This is the troublesome Scud I bought recently that was discussed in another thread.

    Been driving the car for a bit and found quite a few issues, the steering feel isn't quite right and I found the steering knuckle seems to be worn out, as it has a significant mount of play

    I've done some search and looks like quite a few others had the same issues but they were fixed under warranty. Some say it can be tightened, but in my case it's the joint and there's no way to tighten it.

    My buddy has a new set of steering column, I might as well just replace it.

    Mine had play in the steering column as well. It was the splines.

    How I fixed it was used a small thin layer of goop glue around the splines. It tightened it up.

    mine is tightend up all the way on the splines... if you click on one of the videos above, the 2nd one shows there's play in the knuckle.
