Yes F1 trans virtually perfect car not one issue, needed nothing, fully serviced, records, and all the goodies. I was at the dealer yesterday and today but 458 pricing still a bit high for me to jump. They had a 2010 458 for 212k but I cant pull the trigger at that price although getting closer. I will wait until spring maybe mid summer to find the car I want. The dealer was very gracious though trying to accommodate my next purchase providing me a 2012 California for 24 hours. I really loved the car just not what I want right now.

The 458 will be worth the wait !!!

I will also upgrade from my 360 to a 458 though I will wait until they bring out the next model Ferrari to come out, for depreciation

A good second hand 458 still sells anything North of $400K in Australia

If he gets a Scuderia he won't want a 458. At least that is the case with me.

You are going up through the ranks at a good clip as it wasn't too long ago that you were driving a 360.

458 prices are dropping fast. Dealer has 15 on the lot. I won't upgrade until spider prices drop.

Same with me. I have three other guys ready to go as well once the new 458 replacment is out. There will be a flood of 458's to choose from as there were with 430's when the 458 was released. Only thing is that it will have to be a coupe for me. I don't like that the engine is not visible on the spider. And even with the engine lid open, only the air boxes are visible. The Ferrari engine is too much a work of art to be all tucked away in the engine compartment and not be seen!

Scud is nice and a bit rawer than 458 perhaps but it's no 458 Speciale that's a pure cut above. I personally prefer a manual trans 3 pedal F430 over scud and 458 Italia simply for the sheer driving involvement and experience plus rarity and being the last of the true gated shifter rear mid engine small displacement Ferraris. There's something very special about that.

Official launch at Geneva this spring, should be out late next year. Current dealers are filling the last 458 orders, and many dealers feel that they probably won't get any more 458 allocations, so it's getting closer. Dealers are taking deposits on the replacement.

What is the replacement for he 458? The 458T? Same body, chassis and looks just different/smaller displacement engine designed for forced induction with a turbo charger as the trend for efficiencies in power output but other that the same car essentially?

Yes balls to the wall and loved it. I thought I wanted a 599 but was disappointed with it. 458 is what I want. I was going through withdrawal when I sold my 360 to Falcon Wing in CO and jumped into the 430 when I really wanted a scud. So I want a 458 but have to wait a bit for prices to come down a little. They are getting close!! Actually considered a California the dealer gave me to drive but my heart was not into a daily driver.

I think you can get a glass hood to show engine like in the 430 in aftermarket for spider. Summers too tough being in a coupe!!
