For example, a clean relatively low mileage 360 F1 is selling for $54,000. https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/ferraris/466877-2001-ferrari-360-f1-27k-mi-silver-black-socal.html#post143583295 Is it safe to say that F355 (Comparatively Speaking) prices have officially surpassed 360 prices?
Wow that's getting pretty low. Curious why these are depreciating faster and are pricing lower than the F355? Is it because the 360 is not as desirable? Known issues?
360 listing prices have been on the rise my local dealer. They've gone from high 70's to around $100k in the last 8 months. 360 CS's have climbed from $150k to the high $100's.
this seems to have little sense to me, the 355 should also have the dreaded engine out service that as far as I know the 360 hasnt. I say that the 355 are simply LESS.
For now, the best 355 coupes are selling for more than average condition 360s. I'd speculate as to why, but I think it's been beaten to death.
That's priced low, and for obvious reason. It has cheap ugly wheels on it, and Sparco milano seats...
Good 360 prices are pretty stable, maybe up a little, the highly modified and higher milage cars will continue to be in the $50's-60's. That car has had 8 owners, off color and wheels, plus higher milage for a Ferrari, so that is why I believe the price is where it's at. I would think that the 360 has hit bottom, or very very close to it.
Right on Luke. Best 355 more than average 360s. Same applies to best 3x8s selling for more than average 355s. But apples to apples 360s are still going for more than 355s. By the way, that Rosso Barchetta 98 F355 F1 coupe at Black Horse finally sold for $67k.
I think the 360 has a lot more to drop. It's all speculation, but think within a couple years you will be able to pick up a decent/ average 360 for exactly $48799.
Guys, v8 prices all follow the same general trend. Depreciate to 20 years old then flatten out, maybe start to rise at 25-30, maybe not. 360 still have 5 years to go, 458 and 430 will take a hefty step down when the 458 successor comes out and the 360 will take a small step down. 355 and 348 are in the flat range with the 308's and 328's in the mildly up area.
sorry guys, but there will be no rise, you can wait til your ears fall off. They will simply keep on depreciating as more new models hit the dealers. At least in Europe.
Agree with the last two posts. 360 are still on the way down and will be a few years before they fully flatten out. That is nothing against the car, just the way the depreciation curve works. I'm slowly working my way up the Ferrari ladder and would be happy to have one in the garage someday, but IMWO the 360 started/created a new feel for Ferrari as a brand and as a car maker that seems much different than all the cars that proceeded it.
Yup, or at least in the 50's..the depreciation curve will affect this model more than any of its predecessors because of many factors which have been repeated here many times. Last year I predicted the 360 would drop below the 355 within 5 years, looks like it's happening ahead of schedule.
360's in Europe are notably cheaper than 355's. Presumably because 355's are more classical in feel and style. I would sum it up this way: the 360 is a better car, while the 355 is a better Ferrari. (this coming from an ex-360 owner) So yes, being the better car and cheaper to buy and cheaper to run, the 360 is the better objective value proposition. So if you like them, buy one!
AS much as i love my 348, when a 360 hits the bottom of the curve and flattens out (hopefuelly around 30-35k ) i will buy one. I dunno if they will ever really appreaciate becuase there are just so damn many of them.
360s have lower asking prices than 355s in Australia as well. 360s will continue to drop, 360CS will stabilize or go higher here in the States. I concur on the 355 being more Ferrari.
Be careful in seeing what you want to see. I see winter and alot of owners sidelining their cars. If I also want to see things.. I'd see this "low end" 355 being cheaper than a Honda Accord and make all sorts of conclusions about it. Ferrari 355 2dr Convertible | eBay Show me data stratified by condition and miles. Recall seeing two 348's on fleabay for $35k and under as recent as a month ago. Now they're all above $50k. I call it sellers waiting for spring.
Having owned 3 F-cars.... I've said it before and I'll say it again: It's a Ferrari, you get what you pay for or you pay for what you get.
