Why do some 360's have the F1 commemorative plate and other do not? On the dash in front of the Passenger.

It depends on the year the car was made. I believe they started putting in those in mid-late 2001 models to commemorate the 2000 season in F1.

I actually thought it was a 2004 thing only. Does anybody know for sure?

I may be mistaken but I believe it was an option available at additional cost. Stradales have them.

Nope, my 2001 has this plaque on the pass. side underneath the round air vent.

I really don't think it was an extra-cost option. I've seen this plate on just about every single car, and my build sheet doesn't list it as an option.

They were standard, not optional and you can buy them for the various years of production and world championships. 10 here. There was also a 60th anniversary plaque fitted in CY 07 that is available. For CY 04, there was also a 50th anniversary of Chinetti and Ferrari in the USA emblem that replaced the crossed flags near the ash tray.

The world championship plaques are only about $220 from Daniel at Ricambi.

There was also an optional silver dedication plaque and Ferrari would engrave anything you wanted on that.

Mine was built in November 2003, so has the championships through 2002.

I don't think you can just slap it on your dash if it doesn't already have one. They have little prongs and there is an indentation where they go.

My 2000 does not have one and I looked into this and decided it was not a good idea to add one since they are not appropriate unless the car was intended to have it.

Apart from the 60th anniversary plate, don't the championship plates have the car's build number on them?

Alan- They have the serial number, last 6 of the VIN, but the one you would get as a part, obviously, will not have that. Plaques are tiny and the serial number is actually hard to read unless you stick your nose right near the plaque. Just did it on mine.

Here's the one on my CS. It's a little different showing 5 championships in a row, 1999-2003.
The Matricola# matches the last 6 digits of the VIN.
