Best ecu/tcu reflash?

I've been on the fence about this too. I just found a device last night from RSC live tune. It's similar to the old OBDII programers. You just plug it into the port and it reflashes your ECU and TCU. I've been told the CS flash is great to do too. I do know there is EVOM, Eurocustoms, Prindiville, Mase, Veloce and so on.
It's a tough decission. But having one that could do both would be nice. Thinking about pulling my ECU's and TCU out and send them away is scary.

 

Glenn at Nouvalari UsA offers a tune that seems great and offers a good deal of value dollar per HP/Tq wise. Aside from that if I were gonna pay more I'd do a custom dyno tune vs. paying that amount for a canned tune or a OBD II flash. I think the value (power to dollar ratio) really drops off at a certain point where it becomes more effective to spend on a custom tune.

 

Anyone have any tuner recommendations here in California?

 

don't know about so. calif, but in the bay area, I used sharkwerks.com in Fremont for an ECU tune on my 360 and more recently on my 430 with great results. Just took about 4 hours and cost 2950 for the 430.

 

Steve mason at mase engineering in Jacksonville is a top tuner and has tuned my Modena and challenge car and tunes many race cars in pirellie wc and continental series and is wAaaaay less expensive than everyone else

Sending out ECU's is really a non issue. We get them from all over the world and I can't remember ever having one lost or damaged in the 13 years we've been ECU tuning.

Ferrari tuning is a bit more complicated than some of the other brands, but as long as the tuner knows what he is doing and isn't just reprograming with generic files bought from Russia the results are generally amazing. All of the manufacturers leave a fair bit on the table.

 

Can you re flash a 360 ecu to make it shut off the O2 sensor monitors off quicker?

I am a little late to the game here! The EVOMS tune picks up roughly 25HP.

He does CS reflashes to your existing 360 TCU. It makes the shifts quicker, supposedly less clutch wear and a nicer bark downshifting. You just pull your TCU out and send it to him.
He receives mine today. I can't wait to get it back.

What if you have a CS and want to do an ECU & TCU upgrade tune... Whose the best for that? What about ECU tune on a 3 pedal F430? Same place or different best guy?

 

You need to find a TCU Guru who can make it shift like Scud at 60 mS !!!

 

There were hardware changes to get to 60 ms, not just software changes.
