Anyone know of a supplier of new tips (the part attached to the rear not the exhaust) for the Scud? I was thinking something along the (titianium) lines similar to the Speciale in this picture...

especially as you have to demount the exhaust to change them. probably best to take the oem items and get a section welded into them to extend them

I have to admit ... They do look great!! Every time I look at a picture like that I get tempted. Not too many people have them on their scuds.

I have them. They look amazing, but I wouldn't have bought them. The prior owner did.

Thanks all for the input - however I was given a great piece of advice from Hill Engineering here in the UK. Remove them and have them phosphate plated... If you look at the Speciale in the picture I posted I'm looking for that matt industrial look (my Scud is black) and this treatment would do exactly that (and good for the heat as well). All for a couple hundred pounds...

    Think I'll go this route...

    Examples of plating:

Looked great, ran cool, very light - what's not to like. (the sound unfortunately) :(
I'm sure the titanium version will sound very different so fingers crossed.

Thanks! I won't be heart broken if I don't like the sound. Driving around a couple weeks with the stocker so I can do a valid comparison. I like loud cars though provided I can somewhat control the sound. We shall see. Got a great deal on it so, I can pass it on if it doesn't work out.

Looks good. But if you just spray and wipe them occasionally with wd40 they will stay looking awesome. Based on my experience with another titanium exhaust.

Do you have to remove the rear bumper in order to install these tips?
