Just a few less than the number of threads asking this same question.

WAG of 1500-2250 based on 10-15% of 15,000.

How can you tell that between 10 and 15% were manual ?

I've heard that in France for example it was 5%.
I know that in the UK it was 15% ;)
But in fact 1500-2250 is just an estimation.
Don't we have the exact numbers ?

    :)

No, we do not have an exact number. All we have are UK numbers and they were 15.7%. The 6 MT owners estimate less than I do, for some reason.

OK, so we only know the numbers for the UK market, but that's not an indication for the world-wide production :)

    Thanks anyway.

Armen- I doubt your 5% number, too, unless it came directly from Maranello.

I had heard that from the main french Ferrari dealer, based in Paris.
Not so surprising considering that currently, there is none manual 430 for sale in France.
Even in Germany, there are only 2 for sale. and 1 in Switzerland, for example.

Congrats! That's an incredible car. Are you driving or bubble-wrapping? Did you undo the stereo mod?

Should be the same with F430 manual soon... the last mid-engine Ferrari with a stick.

    .

Driving regularly, though not tracking...use a different car for that. I'm committed to wearing it out. No bubble wrap in sight. :) . I'm proficient at avoiding unnecessary clutch wear while still pushing hard, and I've found I can inspect clutch material thickness from under the car....so far so good...should last a while. 13k miles with plenty of clutch left.

Acquired a stock stereo head set in case...but haven't bothered to convert back since I never listen to the radio/stereo sound system while the engine is running. Weird. Why put a stereo in it at all? Much better to listen to heel/toe downshift practice.

But as car stereos go, this is the most amazing one any of us have encountered. Sort of a conversation piece kinda thing.
