    Hey Guys,

So I brought my Fabspeed headers into the shop to get coated, but the guy mentioned that he could get me blankets made since he used to work for a company that made blankets for pipelines in the oilfield. So anyways I gave it a shot since it was a bit more than the coating and costed much less than the fabspeed blankets.

The exterior (gray) in photos is made from a teflon coated material,

    Removable Insulation Covers
    Industrial Insulation Products

The inside is silica fire blanket ( will double check which heat rating)
    Silica Fire Blankets
Iconel thread is used to sew everything together and there is insulation inbetween as well.
Fiberglass Thread, Nomex, Stainless Steel, Kevlar Thread
Let me know what you guys think and if its safe to throw on my car.

I was also told to use stainless steel wire to install the blankets on the header, are there any other options?

Also when I match up the holes it fits over the headers perfectly.

I'll post new pics when I test fit the blankets with wires.

    Thanks!

Stainless steel wire might be the easy way to hold these together. I have seen some stainless steel tye wraps for header wrap strips. Check with Summit Racing, but I think they may not fit through the eyelet holes.

    Good Luck!!!

The Gromets line up perfectly, I'm thinking Stainless steel wire will probably be the best solution as well, I just hope it doesn't rattle.

I'll post pics of the blankets on the car later this week after the install
