Request comments/recommendations on engine oils/F1 gearbox fluid/ and coolant for the F430? Can't find the recommended 'shell helix 5W-40' or 'glycoshell' coolant at local parts stores.

It is a USA car. The coolant is blue... Wife's Subaru coolant is blue and it states good for all Asian/Euro/ and American cars. Maybe I could top off the coolant with Subaru coolant??

Seems like Red Line is preferred over Mobil 1? Why?

Factory Pennzoil Platinum Ultra 5w-40 is available at any Autozone store. The bottle has a Ferrari logo on it, and say "Ferrari approved" on the bottle. :) $9.49 each last week.

I would only use the factory stuff for the transaxle and Ediff. They are complicated enough to not risk experimenting...Although I hear the main issue with Ediff solenoids is caused from not changing the fluid enough, not from the incorrect fluid....

Many folks use BMW or Mercedes coolant without issues. Don't forget the brakes and power steering fluids as well.
