The switch is not available separately from Ferrari. The entire unit costs about 2Gs. I noticed that the Maserati switches look similar. Is there any other solution to fix or just replace the switch? Image Unavailable, Please Login
This picture is not my car. I grabbed it online. My button will fail soon and I will need a clean solution that does not cost $2k. This looks like a $10 problem to me. Someone with a machine shop can make a new button very easily and sell them for $50. I'll gladly pay that.
FYI, the button on the 360CS is available individually from the console, I don't know if it is the same as the 360 (angle and look is identical). It can be had for about 33 pounds in the UK (plus shipping)...or $420 from the usual stateside supplier
Here is a lower cost option, Google "reverse button f430" click on the link "F430 I fixed the reverse button" thread for details Good Luck
You could have a good decal shop print it on see through white and just stick it to ur switch not hard to do. Ejector button CS style when the wee wifey wont STFU Image Unavailable, Please Login
Unfortunately, the guy has not been responding to me. I emailed and PMed him several times last week. I grabbed the picture I posted from his thread.
The angle looks the same. I'll buy that button in the UK. Thank you. Great find. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yes. I have built my own button and other needed parts. $3,000 from the dealer is just nuts. No way I was going to pay that. $1,500 for a worn out used one is even worse since it will wear out again even sooner. PM me with your contact info.
If you don't mind perhaps post your solution in this thread. People in the future may find it in a search and your solution will always be available. I don't have the problem yet but may someday down the road.
Hey ; I just purchased a 07 430 Spider with 7k miles from the first owner in Miami. Stupidly, I purchased the car sight unseen and am now stuck with all the interior issues you can think of. Aside from all the plastic panels being disgustingly sticky, my reverse button broke. The gel broke into many pieces and the R peeled off. I would highly appreciate if you can PM me a solution or post on the thread. Better yet, if you don't want to disclose it, I'd be more than happy to pay you a reasonable price if you can make me a button and send it to me. Thanks, Adam.
Stickynomore is in the process of resolving this matter once and for all. Please give me some time, I am working on a solution for the falling apart R buttons.
I have a prototype solution done to my car that will never get sticky. Stand by as the inde that did it is working on a final solution. Will post pics once finalised.
this is why buying a spider makes me nervous, never know how much sun damage has occurred due to top being down and parked
