Mark, I don't know if you are still interested in tracing this car, but I expect it is this one, currently for sale, though I may be wrong. I don't know of any other red/beige RHD 1976 365 GT4 2+2s in the UK though. Ferrari 365 GT4 2+2 For Sale | Kent, South East, Kent | Furlonger Specialist Cars David
Dear Fchat guys and GT4's enthusiasts, I bring my contribution! I am for a year the the proud owner of #17275 365GT4 2/2 Silver/black/red carpets, produced late '73, built likely during first production batch in late 73. Pozzi delivery in 74 and owned by a French entrepreneur who drove it for the first 100k kms. (I have history and bills since day one.) Still looks beautiful , runs and revs fantastic, and I even made it to keep the original yellows headlamps trough the German TÜV, as I actually live in Munich. I have just restored the interior trim with the correct mousehair from HVL.This is simply a beautiful car to look at and drive! This is the first time I post on FChat (...and to be honest on a forum! yes!) and I thought I now needed to bring my contribution to the community, after reading all possible posts and wise advices from you guys. And in a way give it back, and share my experience. I also own #9232, wich is another GT4, this time a 308! Best, G4ever
Do you confirm the VIN 17275 ? I know it as an italian delivered car, then sent to the US. Feel free to write me through the f400club.com website in the contact form. Paul
Yes, I confirm that #17275 is a Pozzi delivery to Mr. P. Turbil in 74., and still here in Europe! I Will édit a new specific thread for this car then. ...plus le reste en français sur F400club...
It turned out that the 365 referred to in this thread by GT4ever was actually 18275, not 17275. Hence the confusion. Congrats on acquiring 17275. Delivered new to Christopher Soames, the MP and diplomat, when he was stationed in Belgium (hence the Belgian compliance plate in the engine bay). It was bought by Hans Hugenholz in Brussels (in 1983?), who took it to the Netherlands. Advertised for sale by Hugenholz in the Ferrari Market Letter between 1983-1985, it was imported into the US by Michael Cotsworth, of Los Altos Hills, CA, and compliance work was done by Sun International on Mary Ann Drive. Cotsworth was still the owner by 1990.
