For the spring service of my 412 I plan to change the two air filters (Ferrari no. 126150). The filters are produced by UFI (UFI no. 30.897.00) and to my knowledge only used on the 412. I have some problems getting the filters!

My Ferrari dealer doesn’t have them but it should not be a problem because they are sold several places on the internet. Below I have listed some places where they are say they available and where I have bought them – only to find that they can’t deliver them :(

    www.eurospares.co.uk (£34 each)
eBay - one of the UK's largest shopping destinations "autoperformanceonline" (£23.03 each)
eBay - one of the UK's largest shopping destinations "youwantwehave" (£32.40 each)

I then bought them ($35 each) from a US company Ferrari Parts - Ferrari Spare Parts - Ferrari Spares - Ferrari Brakes - Ferrari Clutch | AwItalian.com in New Jersey only to find out that they could delivered from a second source at an extra $100 each.

I have asked T.Rutlands (T. RUTLANDS) if they can deliver the filters because they have them on their homepage ($39.90 each) buy I have never received an answer.

Ricambi America (Ferrari Parts - Ricambi America, Inc. :) has them on their homepage
at a price of $660.90 each !!!. I have not asked if they have them on stock because I hope to find them cheaper somewhere else.

Now I ask if someone know where I can buy 2 filters at an OK price. I am a little worried that perhaps UFI have stopped the production and we (412 owners) will have problems getting the filter. Does anyone have a workaround like an alternative filter that fits with little modifications?

    Regards

    Peder

They are listed as POA with Maranello Classic parts (UK). I suggest you give them a call and see what they say re availability as they are the factory authorized source.

There are many, very inexpensive places on the Internet that sell Ferrari parts. Unfortunately, few if any, actually have the odd, rare or not frequently requested parts. Sorry, but a sad unintended consequence of a connected society...In nearly 30 years of doing business, I have yet to find the part I actually need at the cheapest supplier. Either its out of stock, on order or a low-quality facsimile of the real deal. I think that Maranello Classic parts (UK), as Mike mentioned would be your best choice.

I contacted Maranello Classic Parts and got the answer that they cannot get them anymore :(

I was lucky that Rock had them on stock and I was able to buy two for 141 CAN$ each including tax, a “little” expensive. Rock explained that the price is equivalent to Canadian list price of a 308 filter – glad I don’t need to buy all my parts in Canada. Had colloquies in Toronto that could collect the filters so I saved a little on transport :)

So now I have my filters for this time but what about next time? I have checked UFI home Online Catalogue (menu) . There I can still find the filter no. 30.897.00 and it is listed as “available in our range” so we can hope they will make a new batch.

The filter have the dimensions L, W, H = 391x151x41 mm. The filter with closet matching dimensions I can find have L, W, H = 396.5x150x41 mm. It is used in Ford Mondeo and Cougar so it should be available from several manufactures. I don’t know if the small differences in dimension are critical but I will check when I change my filters.

Those are for the 400i, part number #118722, the 412 filter is slightly different, part number #126150 and only fits the 412.

I'd get in touch with them again, keep trying!

Did you call Eurospares?? They show stuff in stock when it's not, they don't keep their site updated stock-wise.
I've been trying to get a couple of parts from them for 3 yrs. now that states 'in stock' on their site, but they're not
