There's more chance of me removing the V8 from my '70 Chevy Chevelle and fitting a V12 Ferrari engine in its place.

    No indicators too...

Part it out and send the remains to Ferrari heaven. I guess this 412 had serious front damage. The alloy V12 may be damaged, that would explain the horrific V8 solution, the bondoed front fenders and the missing wind screen.

Such a shame, without all this botching it would be a lovely car.
But now no realistic chance to put right...

Actually I've always thought a late model Injected Chev LS3 and auto box would be an awesome conversion in a 400/412 . It would weigh less, have more power and better weight distribution that the original engine, and would use less fuel too, not to mention better serviceability and durability. Pop a tow bar on it and it would make a great tow vehicle for your Ferrari racecar....

I'd seriously consider doing it if I came across a car with a blown engine at the right price. You could do it as a complete bolt in conversion, no permanent changes to the car,

With regard to the car on ebay, well, it's just sad. The whole thing looks rough, and the restyled nose looks hideous.
