Lot # 663, gray over green int, 3 pics sells today, any guess on final price ?
Here it is: 1982 FERRARI 400I Lot 663 | Barrett-Jackson Auction Company Shows that it's sold @ $26,400 incl. buyer's premium, it's the first one I've ever seen with green leather. I didn't see any shag carpet though.
That's a good price for an auction car, but it also looks like a very nice car too. My thought was that the seller would have set a reserve too high for the market, and the car would not sell. But in this case the seller was either a probate estate or a speculator who bought the car from a probate estate. Either scenario would make an unrealistic reserve less likely.
Barret Jackson won't accept that car with a reserve- they are a pain to get a reserve on a car- so it just sold to the highest bidder. Ferraris go to auction and ebay when there is something wrong with them that a closer inspection would reveal.
Good day All, Just adding documentation... Cheers, Sam 1982 Ferrari 400I Auto Color: Green Exterior with Green Leather Interior / Tan Carpets Mileage: ? Yeah wow I actually really like that color combo! Its got to be one of one or two made in that combo. Neat car good price.
typical, I had never seen this color combo either. Untill last Sunday where I spotted one for sale on a car show. Seems almost identical to this one (it's also a 400i): Ferrari 400: Spotted today at Interclassics: Ferrari 400i
Off topic, what channel was the latest Barrett Jackson auction on? Used to be on SPEED. but now that channel is gone. Didn't see it on Velocity either. Just saw Mecum on Esquire. thanks
Just another reason I'm pissed about Speed going away. I never missed this auction in the past as I would see the ads. while watching Speed. Who watches Fox sports? As if we don't already have enough sports channels.
Have to watch them when it comes to NFL but they're so lame when it comes to instant replays like someone's asleep at the switch ESPN's got them beat hands down! Plus, they never show the huge American flag rolled out on the field from atop the stadium, they're always showing ground level shots.
This is the 1982 Ferrari 400i with a 3 speed automatic from the Barrett-Jackson auction. It has 69,162 miles on the odometer. Green exterior with green interior. interior is in great condition, I am asking $36,000 for it. This car is a great driving car, Please call me if you are interested and I can provide you the details. So, what's been done too it since you bought it for $26K? Also, what still needs to be done and why are you selling? Regards, Art S.
We had it checked out by the mechanic, we didn't do much to it, it runs great. We bought it to sell it.
Good day Ross, Just a heads up, but you need to be a subscriber to actively market cars on F-chat... Cheers, Sam
