I know it's a long shot but 81784 was the last 412 manual RHD produced. Does anyone know if it still exists/who owns it. Mine is 81235 the penultimate 412 manual RHD produced. Only 24 were ever produced..

    Thanks

    Jerry

    Hi Jerry

    Hope you are fine
    According to f-register 81784 is a LHD 328 GTB

The last 5-speed RHD 412 is believed to be 81803

It was FOC registered, but no news

Sorry Paul I am leading everyone astray. I should have said 81738 as the last manual RHD. This was the number given to me by Tony Willis .

Paul , will I see you at Goodwood ?

I have some info that should help but am unable to access my records until Monday. From memory the last RHD manual is still licensed and spotted in Exeter. I also think there were two RHD manuals produced after yours. Will confirm all this Monday. David

    Hi Jerry
Now getting back to you with my database to hand. I have the last RHD 412 manual as 81803. It was for sale by Maranello in October 2000 with 10,500 miles recorded, and then seen at the Bond Street Ferrari display on 7 June 2001. I haven't heard about it since, but it is currently on a SORN so still exists. It is not the Exeter car I was thinking of (81095), always a danger when shooting from the hip. The last 412 manual actually registered was 81738, first registered 15 January 1990. I have little trace of that car, it was possibly the one William Loughran had for sale in 1992 with only 250 miles recorded, but the photo did not show the number plate so I can't confirm this.
I have attached a poor quality scan of the Maranello advert (from an early Auto Italia magazine).
    Hope this helps
    David

The car that William Loughran had for sale was registered G952UEC - I have a photo of it in April 1992 but can't post as it was with his permission in his showroom. HE said it was the last RHD Manual car, but I never did figure out which car this was!

I've just bought FEZ 73 for my 1973 365gt4. It made me smile.

And I've just put "RMS 111" on my 365. I've owned the plate for 33 years and only just got it back from DVLA after being away for over a year - they've now given it back since it was stolen on my BMW in February 2013.

I know it's not a FER or FEZ plate but it means a lot to me.

By the way, I've had the 365 for almost a year without ever really using it but now that the brake calipers have been rebuilt by Monsieur Squidmark (thanks Howard) it's almost ready for the road - or will be when I get time to fit them.

I've also discovered some oil leaks which have severely p****d me off but hopefully this won't be an engine out job.

My 1978 400 has been such a great car that's needed almost nothing since I bought it 3 years ago the hiccups and issues with the 365 are a bit of an annoyance to me but i will get there one day - hopefully one day very soon !

FEZ 14 is available for 1100 quid. There must be some value in that....
