Hi All , I have decided to invest in a new set of TRXs , given my existing tyres are near 20 yrs old . They are dodgy in the wet and rock hard , sending vibration through the steering.

Given the cost , can any members reassure me that my problems will disappear with the new set.

Anyone know of a supplier with a cost less than £378 per tyre delivered? I do not want to change the wheels away from standard.

    Comments/help much appreciated.

I can tell you that a new set on my 400i made it feel 100% better as I thought I needed new bushes all around before. I bought mine from Longstone Tyre.

    Hi Jerry,

I bought mine at Longstone Tyres. I can say it is well worth the money! I agree with previous post: 100% difference, the car feels a lot better!

    Cheers

    Hi Jerry,

It's the right thing even if expensive...

I think you have a choice between Longstone and Michelin remanufactured tyres
(as our 400 Club friends mentioned)

Hi, Jerry.......Coker Tire - Buy Vintage Tires and Wheels has them for $529.00 US $ in stock, I don't know what the freight would be to the UK though. ( am not associated with cokertire )
I will also be shopping for TRX's in the next few months, just need to get it running first.

Thank you for your vote of confidence.

Just to clarify things. The TRX tyres we sell are still made by Michelin. we distribute their range of classic tyres

We ship these all over the world and the carriage is often free. But you can also ring us up and strike a good deal 00 44 1302 711123

    Hi All ,

Well, the deal is done and the tyres are now with Keys Motorsport awaiting fitting. I am really keen to see if I notice any significant difference.

The car goes in on thursday and, weather permitting, I will report back as soon as I have had the chance to give it a blast.

    Regards to all

    Jerry

Any opinion as to which is the better setup, TRXs or 14s?
I've got wheels for both and when the 16s on the car now need replacing I may go back to original specs.
    Thanks.

How is that different than any other day in the UK? ;)

Seriously, the TRXs are quite capable in the rain.

Its not the rain but more the salt. Tonight is the first night that salt will be spread. Not good for any car let alone a ferrari!
