Other than the steering wheel being on the wrong side it looks pretty good! :)
Would be nice to do some work with the gearshift by putting a metal gate on it, even if it's not required.

Hmmm...enlarging the pics makes me wonder about the interior.

Also a brief Google search suggests the car was silver in 2000...

I like it, for what it is, and that is an interesting car still on the road with a new life. I even like that it's a left-hooker, just for fun. It's probably a good thing that I don't know more about importing a car from across the pond.
I'm curious whether the body is of Kevlar reinforced composite, or the extra-cost aluminum.

Why ruin a GT4/400/400i by putting a lame GTB/4 body on it? Ewwww. (duck!). :)

(I'm not a huge Daytona fan....)

I don't have much on this one. It was on the market about 4 years ago advertised at £49,950. It went through an auction in 2006, and then was listed as silver as you also spotted. The serial number is that of a 365 GT4 2+2, originally blue with red interior. E G Autokraft were also well known for their 400 cabriolet conversions.

Unless you know something we don't, don't assume they took apart a functioning car. It may have been a collision that was borderline salvage. I used an LS1 that hit a low barrier and slid on it's roof to modify a 57 Bel air Ht. Used the drive train and the suspension. The owner loves it. And I'm not a Chevy fan, but it is nice in it's own right. As is this roadster. Actually I like it, a lot!

I'm with you...I'd park it in my garage and call it a Ferrari,anyday....matching chassis with engine....what is the problem.

I'd suggest, though, that it could have been the corrosion bug that bit the original body.

I will say--I would be thrilled to see the conversion build pictures of this car. While the interior leaves much to be desired, the exterior does look pretty awesome.

I agree. I have many questions, like what are the body panels made of etc. I can say if I had bad body corrosion or an accident I would seriously consider doing this with my car, depending on cost.

Sadly the fake car sells for more than the original. Name another Ferrari that is this way also.

prices on upswing; more b/c of wildly appreciating market..... "rising tide" and all that.....most mortals cannot afford their 3rd or 4th choice. "Whats left" to buy that we can afford and not fear wrecking factor too.

But in time, car will stand on "own merit" as they really are terrific!
