Interesting. Series 1 rear bumper.....and the body color on the bumpers.....yick.
Wrong tools too....
Correct pouch, but wrong Service Organization book.....incomplete radio manual but you get an extra Series 1 manual. (to go with the rear bumper?? Haha)

Another odd white paint sticker. Interesting.

Engine bay looks FANTASTIC via my phone screen. ..

 

All and all I feel this car is well priced for the quality.

 

Are the bumpers incorrect? My red 84 has exact same bumpers and are body color as well....could they be ordered this way from the factory?

I am not aware of the factory painting the bumpers until the 412 and supposedly 400i serial number 50807. Yours probably should be black like the rest. But at least your have the proper series II rear bumper with fog lights. This white car does not.

 

This dealership is just around the corner from me, I'm tempted to go and take a look. I wonder if they offer finance?!!

 

If they don't PenFed will (I have no affiliation with them) at 2.99% and all done online.

 

I used LightStream for financing when I bought my Mondial. (No Affiliation here - just relaying my experience).

All done online, approval within 4 hours. Money in my bank account within 48 hours.

Neat thing is that it was done as an unsecured loan. They didn't require the title. Interest rate at 2.89%. (This was done in early Jan of this year).

Factory color on the series 2 was black bumpers. Many have been painted, perhaps to update closer to 412 appearance.

Which looks better is a matter of personal taste and, in my opinion, also on what the body color is.

 

Interesting, good catch on the series 1 bumper, the series 2 bumpers have the rear fog lights set into them. Likely replaced from accident damage, it would be nice to know how badly it was crunched back there but a good inspection will at least reveal the quality of the repair.

When I purchased the car, I was going to immediately repaint front and rear to black as I did not like the body color bumpers...but they have grown on me.

Is it just me or does the front bumper fit-up look a little suspect too? How difficult would it be to source the correct rear bumper for this car?
