Length of chrome on factory exhaust tips

    Hey guys. I have decided to paint my stainless exhaust black. I agree the silver is just too much on a car with so much of its exhaust normally visible--especially from the side.

    Can someone measure the length of chrome on the factory (or factory-esque) exhaust tips? Proper metric please--none of those fractions and inches nonsense. :)

    I am using some cleaning, some etching primer and some hot exhaust flat black paint for this--so hopefully it sticks and looks ok.

    My spare exhaust is an original Ansa and chrome measures excactly 155mm measured at the low end. Mine does not have the red tape around so measures may differ from those who have.

    On second thoughts,I do not think the 400 have red tape around the tips. I believe it has a chrome tape instead. My old ones sure have and new ones offered from OKP Parts and Engineering pictures it with chrome tape.
