I thought I'd post a pic of my 412 with 360 wheels on it. Although beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I think it looks good (and frankly this isn't a great pic, it looks better in person - I can post some more angles if anyone is interested).

Stock 360 tires (215 Front, 275 Rear). Front is a bit narrower than the TRXs and the rear is significantly wider. I rolled the inside of the fender lip with a fender roller (worked great) and have no clearance issues at all. I purchased the longer lugs from a 360 (7MM longer than the stock 412 ones, as the 360 wheel flange is thicker).

Just posting as an FYI as I know people are always interested in what different wheels look like.

    Thanks

    Dave

Would you happen to know the rim widths, respectively? I'm simply curious to compare yours with the ones I ended having custom made... Other than front wheels off a TR, anyone else cross swapped wheels onto their car from another model? Post pics!

    Did you need any spacers?

the look is great; I think the cabriolet makes it work better than a coupe would.

No spacers needed. Rolled the inner fender lip in and bought lugs from a 360 (widely available on eBay). Do NOT run 360 wheels with 412 lugs; they are too short and there is not enough thread engagement. Dangerous!

DinoPaul it is 64247. I posted a thread about it so you should be able to find some of what I know.

Car came with lots of documentation and a ton of receipts from Ultrasmith including $45k for the chop - it's not clear if they did it or subcontracted it out to someone else; I'm interested in any ideas.

The car does not look great with the top up - so we generally use it as a sunny day car.

I applaud your thinking and approach! Too many cats in this website are too fearful of backlash from other members for following their own taste. I have been fortunate not to have that taken place recently, but reckon someone will give their .02 cents as to how they'd do it or theirs being 100% stock is so much better.

Your car looks considerably more contemporary because of the wheels and hope it brings you many happy miles full of amazing memories!

Thanks Otto, so I won't get kind remarks when I post the pics of it with a 6" body lift and 35" Dick Cepek tires? ;-)

If you need any more info on the fitment let me know. I'll throw up some better pics when I get a chance

I'd love to see what it looks like on an uncut car too.

That looks really good! Do you mind if I use your picture for my wheels for sale thread? I wanted to show people how the wheels look on older cars.I posted a set of these in the classifieds.
