1979 400 Convertible

Beautiful color - not much info provided other than being a RHD 5 spd:

https://www.hemmings.com/classifieds...t/1905629.html

Anyone has history on the car? Who in Germany used to perform conversions? It is located in Maranello and of significant interest, on the very last pic, it shows being parked to the world's only 4 door Ferrari - the Pinnin!!!!!

Here's a link to that one, which if I remember correctly, now runs with a V12 derived from a 400i:

This is the first and only Ferrari four-door sedan, and it's up for sale | Autoweek

Good day Simon,

It looks as if the 2nd car you referenced is now on Ebay's UK Classified site with an asking of 106K GBP ($136.59K USD):

Ferrari 365 GT4 2+2 RHD 1976

Overall looks to be a nice clean and mostly original car complete with books. The engine bay, exhaust, etc looks nice and tidy too. If one wanted to be picky the only thing I can see that is incorrect are the tires... should be XWX's... but that is really reaching.

For documentation purposes, here is the info... sadly no chassis number is given:

Quote:
Car is in Sydney Australia - It is an Australian delivered and complied car - It has been in my private collection for approximately 10 years and I am the 3rd owner. This car has never had rust and never been in an accident. It is a matching numbers. Travelled just under 51,000kms from new. As provided from new, the original Log books, owner's manual, Ferrari parts kit, tools etc will come with the car. A Renowned Ferrari body/paint specialist from Sydney completed a full bare metal respray in December 2016 in its original (dark) Red colour, the eventual buyer will receive a copy of all the photos during the respray phase. The black leather interior, engine bay and boot area are all in excellent original condition. Another rarity with this particular car is that it still retains the original unmarked Alcantara Dash and centre console padding, In watching the market for these cars over the last few years, I have not seen one car past or present for sale that still retains the original Alcantara dash and centre console, most have been re-upholstered either in vinyl or leather. Also, all the switches and dials work perfectly. The car still has the original factory fitted steering wheel and radio. Genuine Ferrari parts/bushes/rubbers/ball joints etc were used to rebuild the suspension and steering. all 6 shocker absorbers were kept and fully reconditioned. Brakes have also been completely overhauled. Stainless steel exhaust from headers back including new rear s/s mufflers. Carburettors were fully reconditioned. Air Conditioning and power steering have also been reconditioned. The radiator had a replacement core installed. The wheels have been professionally restored and the correct size tyres are virtually new. It was fully serviced and tuned (including all filters, spark plugs etc) less than 200kms ago. The only thing that is not original with the car is that it's been converted to electronic ignition, and as most would know, the engine maintains its tune for much longer. There is nothing to spend on the car. This is 1 of only 133 examples ever produced in right hand drive. After 1976, Ferrari did not build any more cars with the following attributes: Front engine, Quad-Cam V12, 6 Webers, 5 speed manual, knock-on wheels. Most Ferrari purest regard this combination as the last of the "TRUE" Ferraris..... I don't agree, however, many would argue with me! Historic Registration expires in Feb 2018. (Number plates seen in photos will not come with the car). A Roadworthy Certificate will be provided if required. I will assist with Exporting the car, however all costs related to shipping will be the responsibility of the buyer. Any questions, call me on +61414975655. This car is exceptional value at GBP106,000 or best offer.

The owner must be a fairly private bloke as the car is not listed on the F club register.

hi guys..I bought 19021 after looking at all 365's available here in Australia and NZ. I had a good look at the red one above and probably would have bought it except I didn't like the black interior.. ..oh and the owner wouldn't budge off 170k ! . He is FoC member btw and a good guy. The car really is a blast to drive and genuine low mileage , so I would recommend it to anyone looking for a top 365... cheers Mike
