    Hello all
I know would have been flagged before, but what is the consensus on having wing shields planted on our beautiful cars??
Are there photos out there of them??
Do they look better on some colours over others??
Is there a particular size that looks best??
    Love to hear your thoughts...
    Regards,
    Jim

Onlly fitted to designate racing Ferrari's "in the era", but became a factory option in the late 90's on the F355 and is now seen on most moderm Ferrari's
Not original and look particularly tacky and cringeworthy on an elegant and understated car like the 365/400/412 series, message is the owner needs to show that "yes its really a Ferrari, look, it even has the badges "

I'm with Michael on this subject, they shouldn't be added to the GT cars and do nothing for the 365/400/412 series.

I tend to agree, the elegant lines of the 365/400/412 have I'm worried it may change the style of the intended design.
A friend with a 85 Testarossa is trying to talk me into shields. Not sure if I agree with the idea.
I would like to see some photos but thin I will not sway.

Poseur-iffic!! Those adding more badging to remind everyone else that It's uh FUH-RAAA-RRRAYY often later succumb to answering "What time is it?" with a dramatically-arced armswing and proclamation "OFFICIAL RRRROLEX (dramatic pause) time is......". (I've actually known someone who did that, among other embarrassing things)

If you're gonna go undignified and gaudy, try to go for the gold, or at least, outgaud the Giallo Guido:

    Hi Dave
Thanks for the pics. Now that I have seen photos with them on I think they are best left off. Although I do agree some look better with them than others.
    Enough said and question settled!

I am of the firm opinion that the shields detract from the good looks of the 400 series and are entirely superfluous, which was always intended to be understated and elegant along with it undoubted V12 growl and high speed cruising performance.

If you are intent on impressing someone, rest easy because those who matter will know that it is a Ferrari without having it so obvious.

However, if you decide that you insist upon having shields installed, forget the cheesy stick on shields and have it done correctly with cloissone badges properly inset into the fenders instead of tacked on. If you want to show the world that you are a baller, do it all the way! ;)

I dunno.............Maybe some green neon in the fenderwells might be juuuuuust the right combination to sway you.

    LMAO.

To be used in a movie about smugglin' a truckload of 500 cases of illicit Snobolio into Napa.....
