Hello gentlemen Need your help with these parts. Mine are a bit cracked, was thinking about finding new or nice used ones. Not so easy! Or expensive... But my main problem is: are the parts offered the proper ones? many ads say that these parts are the same on many models (308/512/mondial...) but they don't have the same reference number according to the spare parts catalogues/eurospares Some of you have been through this? Do you know if these spares are the same? It looks that there is a main difference: a chrome ring that only 400s have Is is poosible to remove that ring from the old ones and put it on the 308 parts? many questions though... And my car is at the workshop for holidays, can't go and check... first pics are what I have got Second are what I am offered Strange to find the same number on two different colors... Any advice welcome Thanks Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I don't think you can go wrong as long as they're the Carello's, new ones are pricey but maybe you can find 'good' used ones from cars that are being broken down.
+1... I just went out to the garage to check: although both 308 and 412 are the same size/diameter (Carello), the 308 (1985) has black trim while the 412 (1986) has chrome. It looks like the trim may be able to be removed/interchanged, but I didn't go as far as removing a light to verify. If need be, I could verify, I'm just a bit short on time this morning. LMK if needed. Cheers! Ruben
Thanks! Obviously not the same item. Ours are hard to find and a bit more expensive but interchanging the chrom ring seems to be be an hazardous process... I'll let you know if I find more
Presently, last amber one at Ted Rutlands: New Old Stock Factory Ferrari 400GT 400i 412i Amber Rear Tail Light Assembly | eBay
Tanks Dave. T.Rutlands is definitely the most expensive one! Eurospares is one of the sources I've found plus two others in Europe. I'm waiting for answers about availability and get sure they are the good ones as many webshops don't make differences between 400 and 308 or 512 taillights.... I'll share the infos
Did you call/e-mail them to verify that it's in stock? That's the only sure way with them... I don't trust what stock they state online as they don't maintain that part of the site (at least from my experience). I've been looking for conveyors for years & they still show them in stock…but they're not & I now see they have changed it to: NEW To Order Subject to Availability Finally!!
You are right Bruce! I don't have answers yet, but I doubt NEW+available... Sure that was true in 2000. But now???
