    Oh the poor thing. If I had the cash and an available barn, I'd love to buy it and put it in the barn. Its not worth restoring but it would be fun to tell people that you had a classic Ferrari in your barn.

    I thought all 400i were Euro cars. Never officially imported to US by Ferrari.

    this will be interesting to see what it gets bid too as , this sort of sets a base price. eg. On Ebay auction , auto 400i for restoration, and in the US.

    $16k is a gift for that thing. Destined for the breakers or a re-body for sure.

    16K is marginal even for a breaker. Not a lot left, not running, automatic, maybe if it isn't rusty some parts could be salvageable but more than that is a pipe dream. Too bad this happened to a nice car. It's a long ways around to turn a profit from this at 16K.

    I'm not sure. The engine, which is probably servicable, could be worth a decent penny. Other parts not as much....but if I was the seller, I would part it out myself or taken the $16k.
