Well into my eighth decade, it's a sobering thought to realize that most fellows my age have already been dead for several years. That said, I believe it's time to part with my 400GT (F101CL23391).

A proper engine rebuild has been accomplished by a well known Ferrari specialist which included new oversize pistons having been fitted; cylinder heads fitted with new stainless steel intake and exhaust valves; new chain sprockets; stainless steel headers; all six Weber carburetors have been rebuilt and properly adjusted with 1/4" ball bearings inserted into the recirculating hoses (provides a perfect idle and smooth engine acceleration through the Weber transition ports); the Magneti Marell distributors have been rebuilt including new bearings and optical trigger system; new clutch and throw-out bearing; Daytona clutch cable had been modified to fit improving reliability; new Koni shocks; new brake pads; A/C has been converted to a rotary compressor and R134.

The exterior is original and straight and I rate the interior as a 9.

The tool kit was stolen years ago when I had the 400 at Monterey (the 400 is registered in and located in Florida).

As I do have a bit of a health issue, I would like to get this over with soon, so I am pricing the 400 at $62,750.00

You've been a great steward and I'm sorry you need to sell something that must certainly give you satisfaction. I urge you to advertise with a dealer to reach a larger audience. Bring a trailer has done a good job recently as well. Good health to you!

    Good day Steve,

I do hope that your health issues improve!

As for your 400... Wow, your car looks fantastic! Best of luck with your sale!

If would should share, how long have you had your car and where (North America, Europe, etc) did you acquire it from?

    Cheers,

    Sam

If you're in your eight decade, and your health will still allow you to go for a ride now and then, I say you've paid your dues and deserve any happiness you can get. If selling it makes you happy, do it. But if you still like to drive her then have a good time, you earned it.

You might want to get those taillights and brake lights switched back to where they belong when you get a chance.

The reason to have the red lights on the outside is to let the drivers behind you know how close they are. When overtaking a car with the red tail lights close together the car appears farther away than it really is and drivers don't start slowing down soon enough, I owned a collision shop for 30 years and we had a high ratio of cars with narrow tail lights come in that had been hit in the rear.
Of coarse you aren't supposed to be overtaken in a Ferrari are you.

Indeed. And in a fantastic specification as well. Seems like a steal at the asking price. I've wanted just such a car for a very long time. Wish circumstances were different so I could pick this one up.

For $15 you can list your car in FerrarAds, which allows you to post photos instead of links to photobucket. PB is a horrible way to present a nice car for sale.

I just looked at the silver & red interior one for sale in San Deigo, CA. It already sold & is headed to the Middle East. 17k or so, 2 owner, looked great, but I was to slow.

So one less in the US.
