What is the best way to clean the stains and oxidation from the outside of Weber Carbs on a 365 / 400 to bring them back to show condition.

I used Simple Green Aviation formula diluted 50/50 with distilled water. Let them soak overnight or longer and clean with a soft toothbrush. Heavily soiled areas can be cleaned using a more concentrated formula. Let dry and blow out with compressed air.

If you are rebuilding them, sealed throttle plate shaft bearings are available from Pierce Manifolds in California. The old design will let air in after the grease thins and can cause vacuum leaks.

Be careful to not remove the dull-green hue from the castings if its still there.
