575 Trunk "Open" Warning Light stays on

    Please can someone help me. The Trunk "Open" warning light came on the other day when I was driving, and it will not go off.

    The trunk opens fines and closes well (all aligned). Have looked carefully at the latch mechanism -its all fine etc etc.

    Maybe if you don't have an answer you might still be able to tell me where the sensor is that sends the message that the trunk is open/closed.

    Yours exasperatingly..................

    I have now solved the problem............from an earlier thread on the same subject.

    Basically the fuse had gone for the interior light/trunk light etc. This same fuse covers the electrical circuit that sends the message that the trunk is closed. With that fuse blown, then there is no confirmation that the trunk is closed and the warning light comes up.

    Passenger footwell, fuse box C, fuse no 30 (10 Amp). Changed that and I'm now a happy camper again!
