    Went for a drive today - lovely - except a chunk of my upper cover over steering wheel dropped into the footwell for no reason.
    Its the cover which usually has the VIN number on it - so I am looking for a used, intact cover - I believe the part is shared with the 550 - part no. 65734700
    Anyone have a secondhand piece please?
    No worries if it has an "old" vin on it - as long as its in reasonable condition - will accept "sticky" one too?

    I'm curious how this happenned- I thought it's a clamshell with an upper half and a botton half in place with screws.... is the lower half still there? Can't you just reassemble the original?

    the corner has actually broken off the top half of clam - it just dropped off into the footwell - no sign of any previous impact or tool mark damage - really strange....
    I'll take a pic next time in garage...

    Any good plastic modeler should be able to repair it for you so you cannot even tell it was broken.
