Does anyone have a roll-bar and harnesses for sale so I can retro fit: intention is to take the car at Spa/Silverstone a couple times.

    Alternatively, who could provide these?

    Eurospares don't have it.

For something down and dirty and cheap you could have a race fabricator fabricate a harness bar between the rear shoulder belt anchors to mount your shoulder harness and run the straps through the hole under the stock head rest. The fabricator can mount the lap belts and sub straps across the rear seat anchors and you can use 6pt parachute style harness and a Schroth enduro 6pt harness. If you insist on going 4pt harness make sure it is an anti-submarine design like the Schroth ASM.

    I tried http://www.ferrariparts.co.uk
They are actually the dealer where I take my Fcars to get serviced, also called Ferrari Maranello Egham.

They don't have the rollcage available..unsure if Ferrari can actually provide it either.

I'll give a shout to Ricambi.

Stupid money, I don't think so: safety first around the track.

Don't mis-understand me. I fully agree with the need. If it were me i would have a fabricator make one up for less than a $1000 and an upholstery shop cover it in the material of choice for a few hundred more. But, your money...

If you're willing to gut the interior yourself, I would think that you could have that roll bar duplicated for a whole lot less with plenty of beer money left over...even from the most interesting man in the world. :)

I only want to retro fit original parts ;)

But open to suggestions if you know a good guy for the job in the UK.

His 575M is an HGTC and rare. Much better to use OEM parts,

Thrasher- May have located a set of wheels for you in the Netherlands. Checking to see if they have the correct front wheels with the rim machined for the CCM brakes.

Bad news is used sets are bringing about the same as new ones and all the new rears are back-ordered.

i'm happy to pay to get them asap

not to keen on the OZ, even if i'll get them refurbed in a lighter silver/grey as per Scuderias. It might do the trick for a little while, but not definitely. Need the modulars.

Let me know. It'll be pretty cool to have it perfect. OZ can be kept for track days only - and the modulars for London potting and when it's parked in front of the house :)

back-ordered: do you know how many more orders are they waiting for to launch the build? Maybe if i put that "extra" order in, they'll kick start them?

E-mail me at [email protected] and I will give you the contact information and mention some options.

I am hoping the back-order is just a delay in production from BBS, but we shall see. There is a way around it for you, at any rate.

How did you get on having that cage and harness fitted?

Was the roll bar covered in leather (of your choice) for £2.5k? And the harnesses, did they come with all the (leather covered!) hardware to mount them on the parcel shelf?

Thanks very much! Never seen a 550 I didn't like either. Your YELO is stunning!
The bar however is not a very practical option for where I drive,

They were not available as an option in the States because they can be dangerous in accidents unless you are wearing a helmet. Even padded with leather and foam.

I have heard this before and it makes a lot of sense and you end up caught between a rock and a hard place because where are you most likely to have a roll over accident - on track or on the road? Impossible to say but at least on track you would/should have a helmet that would provide some protection. I have also heard that in the UK some insurers decline to provide cover (or otherwise load the premium) for any car with a cage as their 'actuarial assessment' would be that their financial exposure is elevated...

It would appear that you can have the carbon seats, harness and inertia reel belts sans cage if you wanted to...
