DSD is a cool guy and will talk with you. His wheels have been done.

 

Black or dark wheels are purely a matter of taste. Some love them and some hate them. The only dark wheel option on the 456-575 series was for the 456M, which had optional gray wheels late in production.

I had a set of HRE aluminum wheels powder coated for my 550. The finish was flawless and looked great. The OEM Wheels could probably be soda blasted and powder coated any color/finish you like.

My HGTC has landed in London. Wheels have been returned from black to Scuderia grey...unsure about it

What do u guys reckon? Go to silver?

Silver for me. I usually keep this opinion to myself but I never cared for black wheels and really don't get the obsession with black wheels. Maybe I am just old school but I don't even like them on a yellow car; the Scud gray wheels are better on yellow.

John- Me, too. Never comment unless someone asks, but personally hate black wheels. Most times you cannot even see them.

 

I just ordered a set of NF2 Novitecs and I am torn what to do with them, other than the silver I ordered them in.

 

GS- They look pretty good in silver. Considering the NF2s are copies of the Enzo wheels, which were also silver, leaving them that way works pretty well.

Remember you need rear spacers for those wheels, which were designed for the 360/F430.

Taz- I know I don't want them black, but my immediate thoughts are a gray that is a little darker than the OEM silver. Still thinking though...I've got 6 weeks until they arrive so there's plenty of time to warm this over...

Yes that's a little closer to the image I have...Maybe a little lighter.

 

GS- Grigio Titanio might be a good choice if you want them a bit darker.

I think a polished lip is key for black wheels to look right on Maranello's.

 

black is ok but i like the scuderia grey wheels .. on red.. unless you go with factory silver..
