Euro 550. See the B in the VIN? Many techs think the 550 belt change interval should be 5 years if she has the new Kevlar belts (which she does) and updated tensioner bracket, just like the 575M and 612, which have the same valve timing train.

Very expensive for a gray market car.

Ya I thought they were asking too much. What would be a fair price in ur opinion since it's a euro car? Also if it's a year away from needing service I'd imagine I can use that to my advantage to get it down some more. That blue looks very nice on the 550. Not sure about the light interior.

I think the car looks elegant and discreet with those colors (blue nart and light gray?). But the rims are (to my taste, ugly and do not fit this elegant 550 at all. Do they have the original 550 wheels? The price is also very high. In Europe you can get a fine 550 for about 40.000 euro now 55.000 USD.

Great color. Offer them 80 as long as they can find original wheels nor you may like them. Keep us posted. Great example. High price due to few being available. My guess.

Thanks guys. I'll check the car out and see what they can do. I do like the wheels but want the original ones too. I thought $80k was more realistic too.

I think 80K is all the money when you're less than a year away from a major. More like 75K to me.

Are there any pitfalls to buying a Euro car?

Nice car and well worth the price....

Provided there's a bag in the glove box loaded with 30K in non sequential, unmarked, low denomination bills... Also, don't forget to have Roy sign a nondisclosure agreement before you do any business with him. ;)

So what's the deal with the car? Is there something wrong with it? $65k sounds hella good to me for the car. That's $30k less then what they are asking. Should I even waste my time checking it out?

...and these are "asking" prices. I bet if you go with money in your hand you can easily get 10/15/20% off.

Nothing to be afraid of - these engine can go on. It is a one owner car.

At that mileage most of the issues have surely been dealt with. (belts, bearing, hoses, etc.)

These cars are not easy to sell in Europe. I recently passed in a 575M with F1 shift, 40k miles, 2 owners, dark grey with black interior, FSH, in very nice shape, for 47k Euros. It was in Spain, and I didn't buy it because I couldn't drive it in Portugal with Spanish plates and importing it was very expensive (our import tax targets engine size!). It was a great deal and sold a couple of weeks later, but it was in the market for a couple of months.

You can find a nice 550 for around 45-55k and a 575 for 55-65k Euros all day long in Europe.

G & K quoted me a 2-5K range, depending on what it needs and probably his mood that day. LOL.
