The central open disposal is nice ...when empty. Not so useful. So I decide to create an elbow supporting box.
The better is to look at it:

Well, I create it for myself through 3D pro printing...I am not a pro of this kind of stuff...

If you really want one (for the 456 M GT), it will cost 1200 USD, and then you are in charge to cover it with your own colored leather (Ferrari Poltrona Frau leather).

Thx Ross ! I appreciate your sense of humour ! Yes its very expensive: the prototyp cost in 3D printing (50%) plus a little part (10%) for the 3D designer I asked to produce the 3D computer file which allows the 3D company printing to produce the box. Then you have the Dollar/Euro change (22%). Then my time spent, the delivery from France and then...IRS.

Now I could explain you how to proceed yourself...by private message...No problem, I am not interested producing boxes !

    Hi Jacques,

Ok, cool, I found it. :) very nice indeed, looks very much like it belongs there and quite likely very easy to remove as well, in case someone would want to do so. A bit like what most Jaguars always have, but more refined, I like it.

    Cheers,

As I told it before, I did it for myself. Know if some 456 M owners want one, I could sell the computer file for printing 3D. Must be 1 guy for each country.

    Hi Jacques,

Ok, I was just curious. But so it is a hollow 3D printed (PLA or ABS?) object covered with matching leather and used just as a support? (it does not have a lid with a hinge etc. like the ones I have in most of my old Jaguars?)

Sorry if I disappoint you, but I have no need for one as my car is not an "M" but a 1995 456 GT and the center console is different.

But I sincerely congratulate you on having made it so well that (IMHO) it looks like it belongs there and could have been a factory option. :)

    Cheers,

    Pekka T.

Pekka, it's not only a box. This have two parts: a box and its lid. So you could use it as your former Jaguar !
For a 456, if the problem is the same, the design is different but you could do it easily with a 3D file specialist.
The great plus with the M is that you could fix it and remove it without any damage.

I am interested in purchasing one. Please advise if you have sold the file to someone in the US or how to proceed through yourself.

You are the first Rob ! I will send you a PM tomorrow. The process is very simple. Perhaps the difficult part is to find the right leather color to match with your car.
However, Poltrona Frau should have a branch in the States. If you have the same color as mine, I have the reference #.
